Stars
Strengths:
   • Good bulk with thick, sturdy build and big hands
   • Excellent instincts, awareness and football IQ
   • Physical and aggressive with very good strength
   • Gets a good jam at the line with a violent punch
   • Confident w/ short memory and plays with edge
   • Tough, throws body around, plays through pain
   • Offers versatility (Boundary / Slot; Man / Zone)
   • Is competitive, hard working and a team leader
   • A lot of experience against quality competition

Weaknesses:
   • Lacks ideal height and arm length you look for
   • Average speed / burst; more quick than fast
   • Stiff hips and does not transition smoothly
   • Struggles mightily to turn and run vertically
   • Gets too caught up trying to bully opponents
   • Surprisingly not a particularly reliable tackler
   • Poor hands / ball skills and not a playmaker
   • Battled injuries and durability is a concern

Injury History:
   • Missed one game with a minor toe injury in 2009
   • Hampered by nagging shoulder ailment in 2009
   • Missed some game action with concussion in 2010
   • Missed three games w/ pulled leg muscle in 2011
   • Left the Senior Bowl mid-week with a hip flexor
   • Limited at Scouting Combine due to a pec strain

Notes:
Was a three-year starter for the Cornhuskers --- 2nd Team All-Big 12 in 2010 and 1st Team All-Big Ten in 2011 --- Named Tatum-Woodson Big Ten Defensive Back of the Year in 2011 --- Overshadowed by former teammate Prince Amukamara for most of college career but isn't as physically talented --- At best when getting hands on receivers and facing the action --- Also being looked at as a potential safety --- Best fit at next level may come as a nickel in a zone scheme --- Enjoyed a great career for the Blackshirts but has some physical limitations and will probably need to land in just the right situation to be successful at the next level --- Overrated and isn't going to offer very much upside.
