   • Utilizes an array of pass rush moves and counters
   • A non-stop motor and does a great job in pursuit
   • Good instincts, awareness and overall football IQ
   • Reliable tackler who also hits with plenty of force
   • Displays strong, active and often violent hand use
   • Shows ability to take on / disengage from blockers
   • Smart, tough, competitive, hard working, dedicated
   • Should offer both positional and schematic versatility
   • Very productive with a lot of high-quality experience

Weaknesses:
   • Average athleticism, speed, quickness and agility
   • Lacks burst to be major threat rushing off edge
   • Short arms (32") which creates leverage issues
   • Not overly stout at the point of attack to anchor
   • Battled some injuries and durability is a concern

Injury History:
   • Sprained MCL in right knee during spring practice in 2011
   • Missed one contest in 2011 after suffering a concussion
   • 2011 ended prematurely w/ torn pectoral muscle (surgery)

Notes:
A three-year starter for the Cornhuskers --- Named 1st Team All-Big 12 in 2009 and 2010 --- 2nd Team All-American in 2010 --- Overshadowed by Ndamukong Suh early in career but continued to get the job done after his dominant teammate moved on --- Excelled in the classroom and graduated with a degree in history --- Is active off the field in the community --- Could project to either defensive tackle in a 4-3, which is what he played for the Blackshirts, or defensive end in a 3-4 --- Best fit will likely come as a five-technique in an odd front --- An overachiever who looked like a potential first round pick at one point but will likely be available at a value point in the draft due to an injury-shortened senior campaign --- Possesses physical tools / intangibles to compete for a starting job but should at the very least provide valuable depth.
