Ideal size with super long arms --- Rare athleticism --- Explosive with good speed, outstanding quickness and an amazing burst --- Fluid with superb agility and balance --- Very active with a terrific motor --- Able to bend off the edge and run the arc --- Fantastic range --- Does a great job in pursuit and closes in a hurry --- Changes directions well and is very comfortable in space --- Disrupts passing lanes --- A powerful, reliable tackler --- Positional and Schematic Versatility --- Major Upside.
Weaknesses:
Extremely raw --- Questionable instincts and awareness --- Needs to get stronger --- Has not yet developed a varied repertoire of pass rush moves --- Inconsistent with use of leverage --- Not very stout at the point of attack --- Isn't a great run defender --- Has trouble getting off of blocks --- Must improve hand use --- Limited experience against top competition --- Intelligence may be an issue --- Mediocre sack numbers.
Notes:
Spent just one season with the Bulls and only started 7 games --- A 1st Team All-Big East honoree in 2009 --- The son of Haitian immigrants and didn't take up football until junior year of high school --- Originally signed with Central Florida but didn't qualify academically --- Was a junior college All-American at the College of the Canyons (CA) in 2007 and Fort Scott Community College (KS) in 2008 --- Boasted an impressive list of scholarship offers from major programs such as Florida, Florida State, L.S.U. and Georgia but they would have required him to spend another semester at the JUCO level so he chose South Florida --- Wasted no time making his mark with the Bulls and quickly emerged as one of the most feared pass rushers in the country even though he was getting by mostly on sheer talent --- Could project to either defensive end in a 4-3 scheme or outside linebacker in a 3-4 front --- Will require some patience but potential is undeniable and almost limitless -- Has the tools to be an impact pass rusher in the NFL.
