tien was the strongest at the world tournament he won but then king piccolo was revived and he was stronger than tien. at the next world tournament piccolo jr and goku were much stronger than tien but tien was the strongest of the rest of them (except maybe kami).

as far as being human or not, all indications are that he is with the exception of the third eye. but he was always more powerful than krillin and at the tournament at the beginning of the buu saga, yamcha says that krillin is the most powerful human being so...

but i totally agree that the humans deserved much more action. i know that tien, chiaotzu, yajirobe, yamcha, and krillin got a lot of action in dragonball but they need more action in DBZ. even with the filler stuff i dont feel like there was nearly enough exposure for them.

i understand your point but im just saying i wanted the humans that were z warriors to have more inclusion because i thought tien, yamcha, and chiaotzu were kool. it just would have been nice to know that humans could do something productive without the help of the saiyans/namekians. using your xmen analogy, the human z fighters were "mutants" they were just the ones in the background...and as im typing this i now realize that background characters are needed to move the plot along and provide comic relief and such...im now amending what i said before to be that i wish chiaotzu got a bigger role in dragonball because aside from fighting krillin in DB, blowing up on nappa, and defeating guldo on king kai's planet, he was non-existent. at least yamcha, tien, and krillin got some one-on-one fights (sabaimen, lots in DB, cell jrs...).

It's obvious in this series that the Saiyon race is the most powerful in the universe. Even the best humans are no match for trained alien warriors. However, the most powerful beings in the universe are half-saiyon, half humans (Gohan, Trunks, Goten). They reached Super Saiyon levels decades before their parents did, and they are more powerful than Vegeta and Goku. Yes, Goku is the defender of Earth, but the half-breeds have higher power potential and more skill at a younger age.

actually broly had no end to his power. he was supposed to have an unlimited power supply and he could keep pulling from it. this would lead me to believe he is the strongest character in all of the show.

realistically, he could probably kill anybody quickly but, being a saiyan, he loved fighting too much so he would power up enough to overpower his enemies but not to the point where he would lose the thrill of fighting, which is what led to his downfall.

The japanes DBZ movies are the best. I think the've only shown 2 of them here. The first Brolly is one I remember them showing. But I'm not sure, did they ever show the Return of Brolly movie here. A buddy of mine in the Army had all of the Japanese movies on tape with subtitles, the swearing makes it alot funnier. Like when Vegeta's house get's blown up and he says "You f*****g blew up my house you f*****g bastard!!! and then goes to like lvl 3 instantly and just goes off.

I've started the series over from th beginning and I forgot how incredibly slow the show moves, especially at the beginning. I'm through the first fourteen episodes and Vegeta and Nappa haven't even made it to Earth and Goku hasn't gotten to King Kai's yet.

goku cant control going super saiyan after the first time he does it and supposedly has to be driven to the brink to have it come out. he says it to trunks when trunks first arrives on earth in the show so im assuming the cooler thing is before he learned to control it.

no he was not ascended.....he had learned to substain SSJ without fatiguing in the process. He could stay SSJ for as long as he wanted, while eventually others (like Trunks/Vegeta) would get tired and and have to power down

him being in that state meant he could use alot more energy on strength and speed (which differed from Trunks and Vegeta's training and is why Gohan and Goku were stronger and faster than the two ascended Saiyons) instead of substaining a SSJ Power Level...it made being powered to that level up feel natural.

Just watched the movies with Jenemba and Brolly. I agree they're rediculously strong but do realize this, Gogeta SS1 beat Jenemba, and Brolly got his ass kicked by four warriors channeling their energy (channeling < fusion of any kind) into one. So relatively it was an easy fight. Though I'm just trying to save my cleats for the draft I guess.

Don't get me wrong, they're both amazing.

2. Namek Saga (the Super Saiyon)

3. Trunks Saga/Androids

4. Cell Games

I have to say that DB and DBZ is one of the greatest stories ever written. I own all 42 volumes of the manga, several of the movies, and some of DBZGT on DVD. I actually plan to start reading the books again over the summer. If any of you guys have the cash to buy the mangas I would go out and buy as many of them as you can!

I hate Chi-Chi. I was thinking about this as Gohan was training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, and Chi-Chi comes in and starts whining to him. Then Cell teleports, or comes in, if you will, and slaps Chi-Chi around. Great moment. :)
