...your teamhad the 1st pick in the draft for the next 3 years(2008-2010) who would u pick

for me

Giants

08-Calias Campell DE Miami or Kenny Phillips Saftey Miami(To close to call)
09-Chris Wells RB Ohio State
10-Tim Tebow QB Florida

Michigan

Ray Rice? (10)

I'd go BPA for all 3 years if forced to pick, and would likely look to trade down for good value. It'd be real tough to pay those 3 contracts and still field a competitive team at the same time.

Why would the Giants draft another DE and why would anyone draft Tim Tebow in the first round?

i would go for need. so if there was a player that was worthy of a top pick at the posistion i needed i would take them. But if my team did do bad enough, for 3 years, to get the number 1 pick, i would probally traded down a little for more picks and still get a top player.

08 - I'd probably look towards QB provided Chris Simms has another down year. So a guy like Brohm would be nice.
09 - Brohm would need somebody to block for him so a stud LT would be nice.
10 - At this stage I really think it has to be BPA.

Mark Sanches definitely has #1 potential. Everson Griffin vs. Ryan Mallett is going to be down to the wire for 2010.

2008: Kenny Phillips
2009: Percy Harvin
2010: Sergio Kindle

Edit: Alright, I know I wouldn't pick a LB with the first overall pick, but these are three guys I think will be stars.

1-Calias Campell
2-Glenn Dorsey
3-Jake Long

I'd be quite happy with these 3.

2. Calais Campbell DE – Hear me out on this one. Strahan will be retiring soon, Kiwi is a LB now, I can’t see Tuck as a starter. Campbell is a freak and too good to pass up.

and Tebow b/c Eli isn't that good and his contract is ending in a few years also tebow is really good

In Jay we trust.

I'm going to say if any team is picking #1 overall 3 years in a row, their QB isn't doing too well...

if my team had 3 straight #1 overall picks I would cry.

Mr. Stiller
06-03-2007, 02:51 PM
If I had to keep the #1 picks:

2008: Sam Baker, LT, USC
2009: Tyson Jackson, LDE, LSU
2010: Percy Harvin, WR/Ath, Florida.

If I could trade down, say for 2 1sts (5 overall, 20th overall) and a 3rd..

2008:

1a) Sam Baker, LT, USC
1b) Tommy Blake, DE/OLB, TCU
2) Adam Kraus, OG, Michigan
3a) Derek Kinder, WR, Pittsburgh
3b) Chase Ortiz, DE/OLB, TCU
4) Andrew Crummey, OG/C, Maryland
5) Lance Ball, RB, Maryland
6) Bret Meyer, QB/WR, Iowa State
7) Tez Doolittle, DT/DE, Auburn

2009:

1a) Michael Oher, OL, Mississippi
1b) James Laurainitis, ILB, Ohio State
2) Cedric Dockery, OG/C, Texas
3a) Patrick Turner, WR, USC
3b) Carlton Williams, S, South Florida
4) Javorskie Lane, FB/RB, Texas A&M
5) Brian Soi, NT, Utah
6) Sam Swank, K, Wake Forest
7)Keenan Lewis, CB, Oregon State

2010:

1a) Jeffrey Fitzgerald, DE(3-4), Virginia

Everything else for 2k10 is too early. Though I'm infatuated with my drafts :-)... Steelers would be impossible.

LOL, yeah, these things are set in stone. NFL teams just look at Rivals star rankings and make their decisions based on that.

What an utterly pointless thread.
