Anyone know why he was kicked off the Tar Heel football team? I know he then transferred to Oklahoma State and took a redshirt in 2005 and broke out in 2006...if he was kicked off for good reason then this might end up hurting his draft stock a little bit due to potential character concerns.

it was either weed or a move for john buntings waiver wire. i think in his time there there were 20 or so dismissals from the team.

If it was weed I don't think it is any big deal since he hasn't reportedly failed a drug test at OK St.

Can someone else please confirm that this was the reason he was dismissed (just to be sure)?

Thanks ncst8fan83, appreciate it. I thought it was a drug test or grades but not sure.

i just did some more checking and apparently he was in a car with two other players(who were both kicked off the team as well), there was weed in the trunk, and all 3 were charged with possession. The charges were later dismissed, he was asked to come back but he felt betrayed that they didn't stand behind him in the matter, so he transferred to Oklahoma State. The charges were dropped and the weed wasn't his, so I don't expect this will cause anything major.

Don't quote me on it but I believe it was a combination of a failed drug test and him not being happy with his role in the offense.

4. Who, if anyone, will emerge as a big-play threat?

Baker would have to throw the ball to Stillwater, Okla., for Adarius Bowman to catch it. Bowman led the Heels with 18.3 yards per reception last year before a drug charge led to his dismissal. He's now at Oklahoma State.

He was his state's Mr. Basketball, even saw a very small amount of playing time for Okie States basketball team.
