Did he ever fall off since he left Green Bay. He was a pro-bowl caliber player now he'll be lucky if a team picks him up.

Yep, back injuries killed him. He injured his back when he first got here and told Jerry Jones that he was willing to rip up his contract and give back the signing bonus. Its a shame, but he was a very classy guy.

Nobody on field frustrated me more last year then Rivera. But he is a classy dude, so the best of luck to him.

I think its a pretty bad loss. sure he wasnt great playing wise, but he was a good leader and teacher to the young guys.

I love the way Rivera went out. ""It's tough to take, but I completely understand," said Rivera, who's coming off his second back surgery in three years. "With the personnel this team has, it would be a travesty if they didn't win 12 games. With [Tony] Romo coming on and that offensive line, they're not going to miss me.""

I could live with 12 wins.

He's a great guy, and it's a shame it just didn't work out here. I doubt another team picks him up. But I'd love to see him as a coach. It'll be a shame if he doesn't. He loves and knows the game, and should be able to do well doing that.
