Do you guys think this years Clemson;James Davis and CJ Spiller duo is going to be as good as 2003s Lee Suggs + Kevin Jones combo at Virginia Tech.

Lee Suggs - 257 carries for 1,325 yards (5.2 avg.) and 22 touchdowns
Kevin Jones - 240 times for 1,419 yards and 18 touchdowns

i think with the stats? not sure

but what combo do you think will be better out of these too or even the Jones McFadden duo?

Those Suggs numbers are from '02. He was playing for the Browns in '03.

Not really when you realize that team averaged over 7 TDs a game over 13 games. Thats the equivalent of 91 TDs all season.

Caddy + Brown is probably the most talented RB duo of recent history.

Arkansas(06)
McFadden - 284 carries 1714 yards 14 TD's
Jones - 154 carries 1225 yards 6 TD's

Auburn (05)
Cadillac - 239 carries 1236 yards 12 TD's
Ronnie - 153 Carries 928 Yards 8 TD's

Auburns duo isn't even in my top 5

That was 04, Kenny Irons was the RB in 05.

Auburns RB's had a great season that year, as the rushing game led the team to an undefeated season. Certainly worthy of "top 5".

1. USC '05 (Bush + White)
2. Auburn '04 (Brown + Williams)
3. Virginia Tech '02 (Suggs + Jones)
4. Arkansas '06 (McFadden + Jones)
5. Minnesota '04 (Barber + Maroney)

Did you bother to read what he said? Auburn's duo got drafted high but they weren't that impressive on the field. I would easily take Arkansas and Minnesota along with USC over them.

Caddy was the best back in college his senior year, and Brown did so much more than running the ball in college so the stats are misleading. I'd take McFadden/Jones over them, but only because of McFadden. Both of the AU backs are better than Jones. To say they weren't impressive on the field is ridiculous.

Clemson has a nice pair of backs but Arkansas can do so much with McFadden and Jones.

I agree, but for some quick comparison they produced about as much as Marshawn Lynch (1246 yards) and Justin Forsett (999 yards) did in 2005.

2002s west virginia attack with Avon Cobourne and Quincy Wilson was pretty sweet. Combined for over 2540 rushing yards and over 20 TD's..not as good as some of the others listed but they were scary.

i say spiller and davis.. because clemson atleast has a chance of a passing game to take the focus off those two... i just dont see arkansas doing the same thing as last year... and Korn >>>>> CAsey Dick or any QB on the razorbacks roster... and krn might not even win the starting job...though i think he will

whoever throws the ball in arkansas has it pretty easy. just throw it as high as you can to marcus monk. hes a freak

i really dont think he is as good as some ppl say he is... i highly doubt he will be able to do what he did last season anyways...

Also, Auburn had a very balanced attack with Jason Campbell at QB. Arkansas didn't have much of a passing game.

The greatest backfield in college football history was the 01 Hurricanes

1. Clinton Portis
2. Frank Gore
3. Willis McGahee

and even Najeh Davenport at FB
