Good eagles pick, but you can't have two NFC teams picking 31 and 32.

You can if an AFC team (the Colts) traded their future 1st pick for a 2nd rounder (49ers '07 2nd rounder).

Solid Seahawks pick. Slaton would be a good addition, Alexander is getting older.

I think he'd be a great fit with Alexander getting older and that neither Alexander nor Morrice have caught the ball much as of late. Maybe even some KR help??

I guess you're right, I forgot about that. Next time at least say [F/IND] or something.

for SF, a DE would be a better pick if one of value was there

Value or position??

I think he rises big time this year, and looks like a great prospect to me. Compliments Evans a lot better than the other available options except Adarius Bowman.

As a Steeler fan I don't like taking Gaither in round 1.

A few reasons..

1) Your right on position, but there's guys who have proven much more than Gaither... Give me Tony Hills or Michael Oher.

2) Gaither flunked out of School

3) I still Think Tommy Blake is a first round need for Pittsburgh.

nice player if we pick there

I see your point on Gaither. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of his but his upside is tremendous. I'm also not so sure that Oher comes out, but I included him anyways. Hillis is a possibility.

Do you value Blake that high and why still the urgency for a pass rushing OLB?? Timmons moving inside?

We drafted Timmons and Woodley this past offseason.

Woodley is going to play strongside 3-4 LB, and strongside DE in a 4-3.

Timmons is supposed to play Weakside 34ILB and Weakside LB in a 4-3.

So that will have Larry Foote to slide over to Strongside MLB In a 3-4 and MLB in a 4-3. Assuming that Farrior does retire after this season.

James Harrison is a Weakside 3-4 OLB and can play WLB,MLB,SLB in a 4-3. the issue is, though I think he's awesome, he's a former UDFA and he's I believe 29-30.

I value Blake so highly because I think he's the best NFL ready DE/OLB right now. Some may Say Keith Rivers, but I'd see Rivers in the same identical position as Timmons, 3-4 Mack, 4-3 Will.

Now there's a ton of depth in this draft at 3-4 OLB... I could say LT is a bigger need, as Marvel Smith is hitting the wrong side 30, as well as a pinched nerve in his shoulder is limiting his blocking.

If we come out of the first two rounds with a Tommy Blake/Tony Hills combo.. or a Round 1 LT( A guy who's actually proven some consistency and dominance at the College level).

So I think right now, Blake has the Round 1 tag right now, and Hills has a round 2 value.. so I'd lean towards Blake. Give us 2 elite 3-4 OLB/4-3 DE's that can both lineup at any time... as well as 2 solid MLB's that are good in coverage, but can drop the hammer.

Mcfadden and Manningham...that would be amazing.

Really hope our young guys (Crayton, Austin, Hurd, Stanbeck) will have great years and make some strides so, we dont have to go WR (we already got some nice potential at the position)...CB could be a need in the first as well...I'm hoping we go corner w/ that second pick...

I think you mean 3-4 Mike, not Mack.

Good phins pick, I like the player but I'm not so sure he fits our scheme, he seems more like a ZBS type player, but I can deal with it for now, who knows, things could change. I would rather have King there, or maybe Oher. Gholston would be my fav pick though. You don't have him at all in here, are you nuts?

Thanks for the info. I never saw Timmons as a 3-4 OLB, which is why people baffled me saying he would replace Porter.

I just thought the value was too high to pass up Manningham. And as a Falcon fan, do not think you are set at a position based on potential! lol

I don't think any stock is set at the moment, but I am a fan of Gholston. He has been overhyped as of late, though. Pick 9 would be too high at the moment for him, in my opinion.

I think Cason is the best CB coming out so NE will probably take him.

Gaither is in the supplemental draft. And the Steelers need ILB and G more.

Aside from those, you have the best mock draft on this site (aside from mine ;))
