View Full Version : All-NFLDC 2007 selection thread: QB

stephenson86
06-10-2007, 11:01 AM
I did this last year, and formulated the ALL-NFLDC Team of 2006 so i thought id do it again this year.

Unlike last year im not going to do a poll i want everyone to state the player they would want at the position stated at the start of the thread.

I would appreciate It if the mods could delete the old position thread when a new position thread is put up

the team will be a standard offense, and the defense will be a 4 - 3

lets start with the QB

The voting will close about midnight GMT so...6:00pm your time

Which QB would you most want to lead your team to the superbowl?

Tom Brady is my pick. He almost did it last year with almost no supporting cast, this year he has a loaded offense to work with. Manning is a good pick as well seeing as he always puts up the numbers and he won it all last year, but he did that with 2 WRs that could make this list. I'll take Brady.

Tom Brady

although Peyton appears to be heading for the 'best QB of alltime" discussions, there is just something about Brady that i love, even though i hate the Pats (i hate the colts also). Brady always seems to come through, even when i don't think he can. he might not be the audible king and be able to read a defense as perfect, but the guy has made the best out of average recievers and always seems to make the correct decision with the ball. Oh ya, those nice rings he has also spoke to me.....2 more to go Peyton

stephenson86

I hate the thought that Manning will be considered the best Quarterback. That is until he is topped by some QB superstar in twenty years, solely due to the fact that the NFL is going to continue handicapping the game for the offense. Give me Marino's stats in the 80s versus Manning's stats in this decade, any day.

I'm not sure of Romo, since he went pretty cold when the season drew to a close, but otherwise a good list. Smith's 49ers are on the rise and with talent improving around him, so will he....

Young is iffy, he's got the potential, but the lack of a team around him (seriously, who will catch the ball?) will slow down his devellopment.
