I like College Dropout more than Late Registration as an all around album, but my two favorite Kanye Songs were on LR.

Ludacris on Breathe. Kanye is much better.
Talib and Common. Talib was equal. Common had his worse verse ever.
Jay-Z was decent, but Kanye was better on Never let me down.

Ludacris I agree with, Kanye did good on that one. But "Get'em high" with Common and Talib, Talib had the best verse I believed. Never Let Me Down was all Jay-Z. But just my opinion, everybody has there tatste.

I love Kanye, College Dropout and Late Registration were great. But they both suffered from the same downfall, they were to long and filled with a few fillers, and Kanye's usually get killed when other rappers get on a song with him. But I still look forward to it. Those fillers r called skits and they were funny as hell on his last album. It is nice 2 c somebody rap about something other than sex, drugs, and cars not that those arent awesome but it is nice 2 hear something new.
That's what I like about Kanye. He's mainstream, but he's not talking about drugs and ho's. He is also a very good lyricist. He killed it on Last Call.

Let's take this point by point:
- Every rapper has some sappy story about he came through adversity, had no father, been shot, robbed and hustled, it's all been done. Only some naive idiot would give artist credibility just because he's been shot
- He called for the banishment of Ja Rule from the hip-hop community because he did nothing but love songs. Then the same year comes out with 21 Questions with the line "I love you like a fat kid loves Cake"
- I have no Idea how he united people, when he was tearing Queens aprt with his beef with Ja. While at the same time dissin any rapper who's been in the game for years.
- If radio stations play the **** out of an artist, it doesn't make them relevant. Pop radio and television does not give a Artist credibility, it's your peers and true fans of the art who gives them that. not TRL or 106 in park fans.
- If your turkish friends only knew of 50 cent, that's there problem.
- You said it yourself, he's not much of a lyricist. To be considered a classic the content must inspire, enlighten and evoke emotion. Not talkin about why Ja is wack, why G-unit is hot, how your P.I.M.P. No creativity.

Again you provide little evidence, other than "Alot of people listen to 50". And I think you fail to realize that people have electic taste in music. Nobody listens to onegenre of music, either it be hip-hop, country, pop or whatever. So if a kid has Metallica and 50 on his IPOD, it doesn't mean 50 is changing the world. Hell I got the Postal Serivce and Dead Prez on my Ipod right now, but it doesn't make either artist revolutionary. 50 Cent did not save queens, Nas was already out with Stillmatic, a bonafied classic. Then you make a generalization that everybody "realised how good his songs were", you can't say such a thing like it's facts. Maybe people you know did, but it doesn't the kid around the corner liked him. Agian it's about the music, content and art. Not the sales.

On topic of Kanye's album, I don't expect it to be "fire." Honestly, I don't see why people love Late Registration so much, it is very average. All of the songs worth listening to on it are covers. I like Touch the Sky, but that's about it. Most of his original stuff I just can't listen to, my main problem with him is that his rhthym often doesn't match up with the beat, and his insistence on rhyming with the same syllable over and over again bugs the hell out of me. The cd will be average to below average I expect, and several songs will be ridiculously overplayed.

I wasn't permitted to quote, so whatever. All rappers lie and pretend now it's so common I don't even notice. It seems like they all sold cocaine on the same block and shot the same people. And they all carry the same weapons and still live in the hood. Fascinating isn't it.

Agreed, I don't hate him, I just don't think he's worth listening to. That and he routinely makes an ass out of himself by being extremely immature and over-confident.
And etk, that's true in some cases, but why does that matter? It doesn't really have much to do with the music, and while some rappers are legit about that kind of thing, it's pretty much accepted that many are not the gangstas they claim to be. Anyway most rappers who talk about nothing else but the hood life suck. Rappers like 50 Cent.
the cd thats going to be on fire is 50's next album, and nas is going to be sick Nas is tired and 50 wont be puting out a new cd soon with all that money his ass is rakeing in please.
50 sucks and Nas already put out his new fire. Watch out for Fabolous and Jadakiss.

Copying classics is easy, making a great original cd is immeasurably harder, thus his cd is not top 10, and may god have mercy on your soul.
