Former Giants and Redskins linebacker LaVar Arrington was hospitalized Monday after being involved in a motorcycle accident in Virginia.
Arrington, who is unsigned after rupturing his Achilles' tendon midway through last season in New York, suffered head trauma and broke his arm and leg in the crash. The 29-year-old was believed to be considering retirement.

His career is over.

Eh...I think it's safe to say that his career was already over after he ruptured his Achilles this season.

Anyways, I hope he has a speedy recovery.

Sooooooooooooo much potential coming out. It's a shame things didn't go right for him, because he could have been one of the greats. It looks like things are over for him now. Hope he recovers soon.

Hit a rock or something on an overpass and loss control and went into the side rail.

Sad to see this happen, his career looked done and now this is can't help anything. Probably my favorite LB prospect ever coming out of PSU, so much talent. He isn't a bust though, he just wasn't utilised to his advantage. He did have some great seasons, and those were the ones where he could pretty much roam the field.

Christ... People you aren't going to keep getting lucky.

Winslow at 30 MPH almost lost his life, yet people keep riding these things, Roethlisberger was so lucky he didnt die or ruin his career, now this...

Motorcycles are cool, living long is cooler.

That's 3 years with a motorcycle accident sometime in the opffseason. Damn. Anyway, too bad for him. As much as I don't like him, he could have been one of the best LBs in the NFL iif things didn't go so bad for him...

Wearing a helmet and still had head trauma, he'd be dead if he didn't wear one, wow. I hope the best for him, I've said it several times I think he got a bad wrap that he was a bad guy but I always found him entertaining. He didn't reach his potential but he was a guy you had to keep the ball away from at times in his career and he was getting back to playing well when he got injured. The injury game was his best in a while.

A bit off subject but does anyone think he's worthy of being a team HOFer

He played the best under the Redskins, but since his departure nobody really gives a damn about him anymore. Unless the Giants want him, most of Washington's fanbase and the organization have wiped their hand's of him.

It's unfortunate for him to go through this, I hope for a speedy recovery. I always liked the guy, he just needed to get his priorities in order.

Teams should start banning motorcyclyes in players contracts and if they all ready have then these guys just need to stop being stupid
