Kinda urgent, I wanna get it to work for later tonight, but I can't.

My problem, is the classic Nintendo64 System will not work on my Plasma, HD TV. It works on every other kinda tv, I was just playing it in my bedroom, so it's not the system, but it won't work on that TV. From what I recall, I got it to work a while ago, and now I can't figure out how to do it again. All I'm getting is the sound, but not the picture. Anyone know what's going on? Do I need another cable or something, or am I doing something wrong? I can be more specific on the kind of TV I have if necessary.

Does it at least work though? Or you have the same problem as me...?

My N64 crapped out on me a couple weeks ago. I actually have a TV tuner card in my PC so I have a VCR, TV antenna and N64 attached to my desktop. It worked fine on my 22" inch widescreen, until it just stopped working all of the sudden. I'm guessing the graphics would look blocky on an HDTV.

Wait, so M.O.T.H. what did you do to even get the picture?

This is what I did...

I plugged in the Red, White, and Yello plug things in. I plugged in the N64 to the outlet and then I switched it to video 3 and all I get is the sound..

All your getting is sound? Are you positive you plugged them in correctly?

it's clearly not getting the video properly. do you have a connector that will go from the yellow cable to an s-video in? that might help.

Ah ****, that's prolly it. I had to do something similar to that with my 360, I had to buy a whole nother cable to replace the red, yellow, and white cables, so it's probably something to the same affect.

Well that's not the answer I was looking for, but at least I now know what it is, so I can stop killing myself trying to find out how to make it work. Thanks, problem "solved" I guess, you can lock or delete this thread or w/e.

Yea, 100% positive, I tried all different combo's (even though it's color labeled on the tv).

try video 2 & 1, then press power on the VCR and try again

That's exactly what I was going to say. Try using an s-video cable.

Hit the N64 with a baseball bat and try again. If that doesn't work ... I don't know what to tell you.
