i also will have to say rise against. they rock. i am also a fan of local H, chevelle, alkaline trio. its kinda odd but they are all from chicago. Also postal service is good, fugazi is amazing. Bright eyes is good also. AFI is a classic. All should be good for a road trip. as for rap. T.I. is good. Rich Boy is good. T-Pain is not bad but you either love him or you hate him.

Local H is not together, and are not recording, unless you are in chicago for new years eve. that is the only concert that they really ever play anymore, its more of tradition rather than touring. they do one show a year. its sad cause they were an amazing band
