Did anyone get one? It looks pretty cool but a huge waste of money. I would at least wait till they fix all the stuff that goes wrong with the first edition one.

It's basically a mini-computer. You have internet access, everything an iPod does, can call people. An upgraded smart phone.

Too expensive for something that could break/be lost pretty easily.

$499 for the 4gb and $599 for the 8gb, yes with AT&T

That, and as someone else mentioned, it's the first trial. There will be some bugs.

The cell phone thing is what bothers me. It blows that you have to sign a contract with AT&T.

best for horrible customer service and dropped calls. plus the rollover thing is a gimmick, you get your "average minutes of use" taken into account and if you're under from there then you rollover. GSM carriers just can't support a decent network in the US, there's just 100x more CDMA towers. Alltel and Verizon are the only carriers that can support a true natiowide network and they don't disappear in the western part of the US.

you can always unlock the phone if u know the right people

even so you wouldn't be able to use internet with another carrier because the way the data reads back to the phone wouldn't go through if you tried to put the phone on a sprint or verizon. So if you wanted everything but the internet, then yes you could pay 50-60$ bucks at a cricket or wireless toyz store and have it unlocked.

To me this is just like when the ipod video came out, everyone who's like that messed their pants, bought on, paid a buttload of money, for a product that has problems and in six months the price will be half of what it was and there'll be a next gen that's got half the problems and is more aesthetically pleasing.

iPhone can suck my balls for now, I've got an Ipod, PSP, mobile phone and a 2 way. If I need **** on the go I've got it. It might be nice having all those things in one, but not if the battery is only going to have 8 hours of talk time, my current phone has 36...
