Excuse me if there's already one, I'm a bit blind...Just discuss and request movies etc.

A bunch of good summer flicks out now. Nothing that's gunna awe you, but some quality stuff that's worth the 9 bucks. I saw Die Hard and I thought it was awesome, tons of action, will keep you awake, kinda reminded me of James Bond. I also saw Knocked Up which was hilarious.

I cannot wait for Superbad to come out, looks HILARIOUS!!!

I just saw fight club the other day.....so good. Granted, it was a bit fuzzy and low quality since it was on my laptop, but it was very well done, loved the ending.

Overrated in my opinion, and I'm a huge Norton fan. I think A Beautiful Mind was better.

I thought it was good, especially before "Project Mayhem" started. I felt that ruined the movie a bit because it was so unrealistic and just generally stupid.

nvot9
07-03-2007, 09:54 PM
Yea, I agree with that, I also knew the ending before hand, so maybe I wasn't able to fully enjoy it, but I did really like it, but at the same time, you bring up a good point, the whole Project Mayhem thing kinda diverts from what I would have liked to see in it, which is more of the actual fight club and all that drama rather than it progressing to Project Mayhem...

I think Brad Pitt in general is a really underrated actor, I think he's fantastic, I think people focus too much on his looks, and almost to an extent write him off as a bad actor since he's attractive.

I just saw Transformers last night, and I must say, it was awesome!!! I went into it with about as pessimistic of an attitude as possible about the movie, but I really really enjoyed myself. The action was awesome, some top notch fighting scenes, the plot was developed enough that it kept you interested, but not so much that it overpowered the action scenes. Some really funny moments too, nothing like from Wedding Crashers or anything, but it had me laughing/chuckling a bit.

I have to really, really disagree. If you like that one the best then you don't appreciate the Rocky Series. It wasn't Rocky in that one, he was some Political Ambassador that wanted change between Russia and the US, WTF? Rocky is a big dumb oaff, the lovable dummy.

Pan's Labyrinth was the only film I fell in love with the past 5 years(besides LOTR trilogy).

Reading subtitles was bad enough...but to only have the labyrinth really shown twice also ruined the movie. The General really ruined the movie for me...I would have liked to see more of pan's adventures rather than her dad over and over again. Not enough fantasy to be a movie i would rewatch.

Thats the comedy trio that Andy Samberg, along with Jorma Taccone and Akiva Schaeffer do. The movie will most definitely be along the same lines as their shorts, which in my opinion, is genius. Jorm and Akiva also wrote Dick In A Box and Lazy Sunday.

Just saw commercial for "American Gangster", I haven't been to the theater in some time, so it was my first time hearing about it. Denzel and Russell Crowe flick.

Wiki

American Gangster is a 2007 crime film written by Steve Zaillian and directed by Ridley Scott. The film stars Denzel Washington, Russell Crowe, and RZA. Washington portrays Frank Lucas, a real-life heroin kingpin from Manhattan who smuggled the drug into the country in the coffins of American soldiers returning from the Vietnam War. Crowe portrays Richie Roberts, a detective who brings down Lucas's drug empire. Filming was done in New York, and American Gangster is slated for a November 2, 2007 release.

Sounds good to me. Looking forward to it.
