While I agree with you we won't take a CB in round one (maybe Revis or Hall if they magically fall to us), CB is certainly a need since Barrett is likely going to be cut and we don't have much depth.

But Ray McDonald, Levi Brown, or DeMarcus Tyler would be the pick there.

I give it a C its ok about 1/3 of your picks make sense

11. San Francisco 49ers---Justin Blalock---OG, Texas

Bad pick. The Niners have no need for a guard. Smiley has been playing very well this season, and David Baas and Tony Wragge are solid back-ups.

The better picks would be LaRon Landry, Reggie Nelson or Patrick Willis.

9. Minnesota Vikings---Jamarcus Russell---QB, LSU

I hate you.

Honest though, we wouldn't take Russell in the 1st round.

28. Baltimore Ravens---Jeff Szamardza---WR, Notre Dame

AHahahahahaha.....no. WR is one of the deepest positions on our roster.
With Troy Smith and Lamar Woodley still on the board we will probably take one of them. An OL or RB is also an option.

If the Jets address CB at all, it will be through free agency. Many more needs to address with their first round pick before CB.

As a Bears and Buckeye fan, I think Troy Smith could be the perfect QB for Da Bears. Accurate, smart, can evade the rush. We don't need a QB who can hit a WR on a bomb all the time.

the Redskins pick was a joke right? We have two great offensive tackles. Freakin idiot......

Russell is well worth that Vikings pick but he wont come out this year. He stays for his senior season, wins the Heisman and a national championship. Also, Landry will not drop out of the top 12.

Hate that the Vikings fill a need at the most important position in football? Brad Johnson is trash and you would be so lucky to get a talent as great as Russell, but he wont declare this season so yea its a terrible pick there.

I guarantee the chargers will not take a Defensive End in the first round. Maybe 2nd at best, if that. Igor and Castillo are both young, and chargers only draft first rounders to start them shortly after.

The Vikings are high on Tarvaris Jackson, who looked pretty good for a rookie on Sunday. Give him a real weapon, Dwayne Jarrett.

Thomas is a FA due for a big payday and our D thrives on 'tweeners that allow Rex Ryan to give so many multiple looks.

Give the VIkings any of the following.

Nelson / S / Florida
Brown / OT / Auburn
Willis / ILB / Ole Miss
Blaylock / OT-OG / Texas

Stop giving us Russell / Ginn or Jarrett...the Vikings have much bigger
needs than a Mike Williams clone.

wheres the F option.

jets wont take a cb with their first pick. DT, DE, OLB, RB, OG, OT are all bigger needs. True, Paul Posluszny would be the pick here

plus, wrong order

The Vikings do not have a bigger need than qb. Johnson will not be around within the next 3 years, and russell is a great talent who has been compared with mcnabb.

The 49ers are over flowing with Guards.

Allen, Smiley, Baas, Wraggle, Snyder (can Play guard or Tackle), many believe Kwame Harris would make a better Guard then Tackle.

Unless we strengthen our ride side it doesn't matter if Joe Montana AND John Elway were under center. If we can get Ben Grubbs in the 2nd then
we have some flexibility in the 1st. However if Blaylock goes early ...Grubbs and Beekman get taken before our slot (Detroit / Cleveland / Houston all options) So if we don't go O-Line in round 1 we'll likely get stuck with another "Nat Dorsey" in the 3rd.

I'd be much more comfortable getting Landry or Nelson in the 1st and pray Ben Grubbs lasts til the 2nd (our slot)...then we could take a Matt Spaeth in the 3rd and our entire offense would be revitalized.

The Bears went through Troy Smith 3 years ago, but they called him Kordel Stewart. Troy Smith's mobility will be taken away in the NFL by the speed of NFL defenses and he won't see over the offensive line. Just like Rex, only he'll have 4 years less of NFL pseudo-experience.

*sweetness takes gun, puts to head, and pulls trigger.*

Rex is our QB of the future, period end of story. WE ARE NOT TAKING A QB ON DAY ONE.

I like Troy Smith, but we have bigger needs than QB right now IMO, including OT, SS, OLB, WR, and TE.

Spencer is not a good pick for the Chargers because he would play OLB in our scheme. At OLB we have a probowler in Shawne Merriman and a probowl alternate in Shaun Phillips. They are both young and already very good. Behind them is also good depth.

Solid assesment.....HAHAHAHA. Why is it white lineman are only compared to other white lineman while black QB's are only compared to other black QB's ?
..just wondering.

Why Robert Gallery ? why not Tra Thomas or Nat Dorsey.

JaMarcus Russell to Vikings? They already have Tarvaris Jackson... Ted Ginn will never go before Jarrett... no F option...
