Well some are just common sense. Like we won't carry more than 3 QBs or 1 kicker but we may carry more RBs or DTs than usual.

QB3: Ingle Martin vs. Paul Thompson Martin takes it easily, this isn't even a battle, Thompson is just a camp arm. -Thompson cut

RB1: Vernand Morency vs. Brandon Jackson Morency will start the season opener, though both should get carries just slightly higher for Morency. -Both make team

RB3: Noah Herron vs. DeShawn Wynn Thoughest one to chose, I just think that Herron won't grow anymore where as Wynn has potential. Wouldn't surprise me to see both make the team and keep 4 RBs.

FB1: Brandon Miree vs. Corey White vs. Korey Hall vs. Ryan Powdrell Miree edges it out to start. Either White or Hall will make the team and possibly take over mid-season. -Powdrell, Hall/White cut

WR3: James Jones vs. Robert Ferguson Honestly Ferguson's pretty much dead to me. When/if Robinson comes back he'll be ahead of Ferguson as well. I'd put Martin ahead of him too. I'm almost expecting Ferguson to be cut.

TE1: Bubba Franks vs. Donald Lee It's still Bubba's job. Absolutely terrible year, but Lee hasn't been better. Also Bubba can block, Lee can't. -Both make team

DT1: Corey Williams vs. Justin Harrell Niether, Pickett will still be the #1 guy this season, though I assume you just mean who will be the other starter. For that I'll say Harrell, but Williams will sub for both Pickett and Harrell, getting decent time. It'll keep the big guys upfront fresh and make our defense more effective, that's why I liked the Harrell pick in the first place.

DT4: Colin Cole vs. Johnny Jolly Cole is solid and is good for a few snaps a game. I believe that Ted and the coaches like Jolly, but I feel he's at least a year away. With Jenkins at DE that makes Jolly the 5th tackle which is how many we kept last year so I think he stays on the team.

CB3: Will Blackmon vs. Patrick Dendy vs. Frank Walker Blackmon probably would have been the nickle last year had he not been injured, aslong as he makes a return I see no reason why this wouldn't be his spot. I think Dendy did just fine in this role last year. He didn't make mistakes and can cover the third reciever, however he has little to no potential. Blackmon could grow into a starter where Dendy will not, so he gets the more time.

CB4: Will Blackmon vs. Patrick Dendy vs. Frank Walker Same as above. I don't think much of Frank Walker and he's probably not worth keeping around. Kind of sad that our biggest FA signing will be cut, but he's not worth a roster spot.

SS1: Marquand Manuel vs. Marviel Underwood vs. Aaron Rouse vs. Tyrone Culver I've been gunning for this guy since training camp last year. I've given my reasons for liking him many times so I won't type that all out again since you've probably seen them already. I see that I have picked up some followers who have joined in on Underwood. Manuel however does have a leg up on the competition so he could very well take it though he's going to have to really outshine the rest. Should Marviel be equal or just behind Manuel he will get the opertunity since he is younger and progresses faster. If Manuel loses we'll keep him for the season, but will probably cut him in the off season. I still see Rouse as a linebacker playing safety. I don't think he'll be a factor in the safety battle this year. If he puts on a little weight he could be a good cover SLB. Culver is nothing more than a career backup, a decent one at that but no chance at starting.

K1: Dave Rayner vs. Mason Crosby Rayner has a big leg, but Crosby matches it. Besides the power Mason is more accurate, and it seemed like Rayner didn't come through in the clutch. -Rayner cut.

LS1: Rob Davis vs. Clark Harris I have no idea here since I have never seen Harris long snap. If he is good that be a big plus for him since it'd free up a roster spot.

QB3: Ingle Martin vs. Paul Thompson Ingle all the way.

RB1: Vernand Morency vs. Brandon Jackson this could be close but i see Morency getting the majority of the carries

RB3: Noah Herron vs. DeShawn Wynn Wynn will have to really impress at halfback to make it there.

FB1: Brandon Miree vs. Corey White vs. Korey Hall vs. Ryan Powdrell Miree did pretty well last year.

WR3: James Jones vs. Robert Ferguson I've heard nothing but positive things about Jones, and I wouldn't be surprised to see Fergie cut.

TE1: Bubba Franks vs. Donald Lee Franks did terrible last year, but i still think he's better than Lee, and i really hope he bounces back.

DT1: Corey Williams vs. Justin Harrell Harrell was our 16th pick, so he's kind of expected to do well. We'll probably see a rotation here, but Harrell should start.

DT4: Colin Cole vs. Johnny Jolly I really like Cole, I think he can beat out Jolly, but I'll be happy with either.

CB3: Will Blackmon vs. Patrick Dendy vs. Frank Walker I simply think Blackmon is the best of the three.

CB4: Will Blackmon vs. Patrick Dendy vs. Frank Walker I'd like to see our lone FA at least be our #4.

SS1: Marquand Manuel vs. Marviel Underwood vs. Aaron Rouse vs. Tyrone Culver This one is a toss up between Manuel Underwood and Rouse. Underwood was impressive last preseason before being injured, Manuel has the most experience, however he played mediocre, and Rouse is a promising rookie. I'll give it to Rouse, although I'd like to see Underwood win it.

K1: Dave Rayner vs. Mason Crosby Rayner was decent last year, but if Crosby lives up to the hype, it'll be him.

LS1: Rob Davis vs. Clark Harris I'm not sure how good of a LS Harris is, but Davis has been reliable for us in the past.

QB3: Ingle Martin vs. Paul Thompson
Martin has the experience

RB1: Vernand Morency vs. Brandon Jackson
This one'll go on all season.

RB3: Noah Herron vs. DeShawn Wynn
I dont really know yet. Wynn has potential and size but scouts have said he's not as physical as he could be.

FB1: Brandon Miree vs. Corey White vs. Korey Hall vs. Ryan Powdrell
For now Miree, but I'll have to read up on the others.

WR3: James Jones vs. Robert Ferguson
Neither, Ruvell Martin.

TE1: Bubba Franks vs. Donald Lee
Im praying for a comeback season.

DT1: Corey Williams vs. Justin Harrell
This will be much like the Morency/Jackson situation.

DT4: Colin Cole vs. Johnny Jolly
Cole could be a borderline starter IMO.

CB3: Will Blackmon vs. Patrick Dendy vs. Frank Walker
If he continues to progress he could start one day.

CB4: Will Blackmon vs. Patrick Dendy vs. Frank Walker
Lots of potential.

SS1: Marquand Manuel vs. Marviel Underwood vs. Aaron Rouse vs. Tyrone Culver
Virginia Beach Homer Pick

K1: Dave Rayner vs. Mason Crosby
Im rooting for him.

LS1: Rob Davis vs. Clark Harris
Wasnt he on the '96 team too?

Pickett is a NT, thats why the other position is listed at DT1.

With all the WR we hav whos gonna get cut?
Driver and Jennings r locked in the #1 and 2 spot Jones willl make the team for sure but after that its up for grabs. Martin,Fergy,Clowny,Holliday, plus
K rob is commin back after 4 games, i see Fergy and Holliday getting the axe.

Its funny because EVERY year we all project Ferguson to get cut and EVERY year he somehow makes the team! Really though, this is a nice problem to have. Here's how I see it:

Driver - #1 guy and obviously a lock
Jennings - #2 guy and another obvious lock
Jones - So far its looking like he will be the slot WR heading into camp

*now here's where it gets tricky*

If I had to choose a #4 it would either be Ferguson, if he isn't cut, or Ruvell Martin. Ultimately, if Ferguson is around I feel like he would be the #4 because he has size and better speed than Martin.

Clowney at #5, barring a Cory Rodgers breakdown, I think will make the team. He is raw but we can develop him and we really don't need him to be an active participant as a WR right away. You can't teach speed either. If he can contribute as a returner all the better.

Carlyle Holiday and Carlton Brewster are most likely the next in line. Holiday has size plus he can be used as a passer since he was a college QB but his game is very simular to Ruvell Martin's. Brewster would be a return guy. His drops last year were a bit concerning though and I feel like we have better options in the return game than him.

So again, my projections:

Driver
Jennings
Jones
Robinson (when retuns from suspension, possibly #3 if Jones isn't cutting it)
Ferguson
Martin (If Ferguson makes it, Martin would probably be released when Robinson comes back)

RUvell Martin is 6'4 217, Fergie is 6'1 210. Who has the better size exactly?
I think this will be Fergie's last camp w/ GB, its kinda sad but it had to happen.

I don't find it sad at all. In his 6 years here he hasn't done much at all. I know he has had injury problems, but if anything that's all the more reason to cut him. He has gone over 400 yards in a season only once and has never had 5 TDs in a season. Recievers that have that little production aren't hard to replace.

Read it again. I said Ferguson has size and better speed. I didn't say that Ferguson had the BETTER size, just better SPEED. ;)

I'm personally fed up with Ferguson. It seems like every year, he's supposed to have his "breakout season", and every year he dissapoints. Unless he really impresses this preseason, I think he should be cut.

I have a hard time believing that martin will get cut after what he did for us last season. In my mind he is the best option for #3 reciever but like many other people said that is jones job to lose so i think martin makes it out as our #4 reciever even if ko-ro does come back.

I'm a Martin fan as well. He isn't flashy or special but at 6'4" he creates space for himself to get the ball. Jones is more polished and probably has the better hands. If he can lock down the slot I'd be happy. I like Martin but I don't think he's in the long term plans.
