View Full Version : High School/Collegiate Football Thread

For those of us who play football for our high school team or some who even play at the college level, this is the thread to discuss how football is going for us. Everyone pretty much used the RDT, IIRC, but with that gone, we should have our own thread. Also, I think there was a thread like this last year.

Next week is the beginning of football camp. 2 weeks (8 days) of "fun". I get my pads tomorrow.

I'm in Chicago and we always have camp in the final two weeks of july. We aren't allowed to workout, but we formed a "workout" club that allows to.

I start practice at Portland State on Aug. 5th. I've been off of football for two years so this is huge for me. I'm an invited walk on, and the coaches have told me that they are hoping I can come in and play special teams right away. That would mean I would make the traveling squad, which would kick ass.

One of my friends went to Portland State, played TE.. Tony Curtis. Basically grew up looking up to him.

i think we can compete for the NJCAA National Championship. well be ranked probably in the top 10 to begin the season after finishing 3rd in the nation. I think we can go 10-0 during the season but could easily go 8-2(El Camino, Mt San Antonio) if we get past El Co in the playoffs, i think we'll win it all.

Nevermind.. I hear San Francisco CC is fielding a good team. Fresno City looks good this year. How would you rank yourselves in the state? country? region?

Id say were anywhere fron #2 to 4 in South Cali, and possibly #5 in the state, maybe #10 nationally, wanted to change that, 5 is too high, but who knows

and another one in texas, but we were ranked #1 for 6 weeks last year i believe, we got talent, we just had a QB that stopped caring as soon as he got the full ride to Colorado....

my team last year was 12-0 and the idaho state champs, and we look to do the same again this year, we run kind of a mix between the West Virginia and the florida Spread offense, but with a unstoppable pass package that no one has seemed to be able to figure it out. I play Quarterback for our team so i love it. We have a Middle linebacker who committed to Boise State, guy is a beast, got all state defensive end as a soph and a junior and then moved to middle linebacker this year, he will do very well. very dominant so we should win state if everything goes right

I'm a CB. We're having a 7-on-7 this saturday against the team where Golden Tate went (dunno if anyone knows who he is, but he's a freshman for Notre Dame.
