Sounds like Rex Ryan is pumped about him, it also sounds like he is working hard.

I am real pumped about him also, Rex Ryan called him a rare guy with his work ethic and athletic ability, I think he will be a steal and a pro bowler.

Adulius Thomas V2?

Thomas??? Where are you guys playing him? Even before you guys drafted him...I saw him as a Bart Scott clone...I would figure he would be playing inside for you guys.

outside all the way, I think he can be AD like because he has expierence at 4-3 DE and 4-3 OLB, like Adalius. This way we can line up in a 4-3 and audible to a 3-4 w/o any substitutions.

This is what I hope happens, I dont know if we will play like that in the future.

Yeah but, Thomas also had 30-35 pounds on Barnes...I thought he was a perfect fit at ILB for you guys considering he is basically, a more talented Bart Scott. That role seems perfect for him.

Bart Scott was a safety/LB and Barnes was a DE/LB

They are the same size...there college positions dont really matter...Bart Scott probably even has a few on Barnes at this point. The comparison between the two comes from their similaries in size, weight, strength, acceleration, and burst...they are very similar. Barnes is more physically gifted of the two...I think he would be perfect for Scott's current role/position on the team.

so you are basing it on combine stats instead of what positions they have expierence at? I wouldnt base things off that. but Barnes will definetly be a future 3-4 OLB the coaching staff had said he will be coming in as a pass rush specialist. Scotts scouting report even said he is a great pass rusher and a potential 3-4 OLB.

Not exactly what i was trying to say... I mean the fact that Bart was a safety doesnt have much relevance. Basing on how the position is played on the Ravens under Scott...that would probably be the best fit, imo. I dont know how much success he will have playing some end...at barely 6 feet and 230-235 lbs. I'm not basing that off of his combine numbers...I've seen him play...he can be dominated by bigger Tackles...the kind of tackles he will see in the NFL. On your team, I def. like him best inside but, he should be fine outside...I've never really been high on him at End at the next level.

He has also just been signed saw it on rotoworld.com

Ravens signed fourth-round LB Antwan Barnes to a three-year contract.

The 240-pound FIU alum ran a 4.43 forty and repped 225 31 times at the NFL Combine. He'll help Jarret Johnson replace Adalius Thomas as a rookie.

ya he was a rare talent... but he is a fast strong linebacker... i could see him doing a lot of the things thomas did... minus the DE duties

You guys got Timmons and Woodley, Barnes would have been buried on the depth chart and never have seen the field.
