Patrick Willis 88 speed? He is fast, but faster than Vilma, DJ Williams, etc etc? Damn.

Ratings don't really seem to good for some of the rooks.

He has a 96 or higher rating in six categories but he's only a 79 overall. That should tell you how low his other attributes are.

It's Madden. The ratings aren't always reflective of how good a player actually is hence my optimism for Rice/Adams.

Quinn's ratings seem a bit off, he wouldn't be that low if he went 3rd overall, he should probably have throw power of about 90 and his speed is pretty high, it should be around 70 IMO, but overall should be about 80.

Traditionally Madden base there rankings roughly around draft position so I really think his overall stats are appropriate. Obviously if he was drafted 3rd like you stated, his stats would be above 80.

Yeah but I believe when Aaron Rodgers went in the early 20s and since he was supposed to go higher he was rated in the low 80s, I don't really care though. I wonder what Kolb's rating is gonna be, my guess is around 75.

He didn't didn't go to an EA Predraft Event. EA is apparently very angry about that. I think they completely dropped the ball on that rating though. It's completely wrong. His arm strength should be around 92-94, and his speed should be around 68 or 69. He's going to play completely different than he does in real life. Things like this are part of the reason I'm not enthralled with EA right now. Their personal feelings about a player be damned; they have a responsibility to make the most accurate football game they can, and this just shows they aren't doing that.

I'll be fine with Quinn's rating if someone drafted in the same area is a 77

I really don't care about his overall rating. That's fine if that's what they're rating people in that slot. But it isn't an accurate representation of him as a player at all. EA shouldn't blatantly, and looks of it intentionally, screw up a guys rating just because he didn't go to their event. It's complete bull.

Last year our second round pick (Jimmy Williams, who was a steal but still a second rounder) was a 79. Other top picks...

Mario Williams- 86
Reggie Bush- 87
Vince Young (QBs are usually lower as rookies)- 82
D'Brickshaw Furguson- 85
AJ Hawk- 85
Vernon Davis- 86
Michael Huff- 84
Donte Whitner (a reach)- 82
Ernie Sims- 83
Matt Leinart- 82 (QBs are usually lower as rookies)- 82

I can't see him being lower than an 81. 80 is a possibility, but it wouldn't make much sense with a 2nd rounder last year being that high.

Jamaal Anderson was the number 8 overall pick.

FYI, Jamaal is a 82. Saw it on the released ratings today that were on Youtube. Chris Houston and Blalock were like 80 also, which is great for 2nd rounders.
