Well, I know we have a small contingency of auto racing fans on here (BeansDooma, Hi! O-HI-O! Cleveland!, amongst others) so I thought that there may be a well - deserving thread for auto racing.

----IF YOUR HERE TO SAY AUTO RACING ISN'T A SPORT OR IT'S BORING, don't waste your breath here or your posts, though I'm not a mod/admin so I have no power ;)-----

So, the big race this week isn't on the NASCAR circuit (off - week), but the IRL. Mid-Ohio, a road course, is what I'll be watching. My money is on Scott Dixon to go 3-in-a-row or Dan Wheldon to re-capture his road racing roots. Don't count out Marco Andretti, Dario, Hornish or Helio Castroneves too.

NASCAR off-weeks suck. At least there's a Busch race.

Amen. I am not too excited about IRL, but I have been finding myself watching it a lot recently. I used to watch every now and then, but I am now watching it rather loyally. Not exciting though.

Well Busch races, as of late, are pretty much Cup races!

Good thing its an off week, I'm heading down to Tornoto this weekend...and I won't be able to get to a TV very much thsi weekend.

GO HARVICK in the Busch Race though!

That Busch race was a bit of a snoozer. I hate when the Buschwhackers dominate, I like seeing guys like Ashton Lewis compete before now; it's just different.

IRL race was worse. After Marco went upside-down on Lap One, the race kinda peaked.

Super bump of a thread but I didn't want to start a new one and this was the only racing thread I could find.

Dan Wheldon has died from injuries suffered in todays Indy car crash.

there's always been fears with that track and sadly those fears became too real today with the passing of a star...RIP Dan

Here is another video. They were actually on board with him right as the wreck happened.
