View Full Version : Film Draft

raiderfan_89
07-25-2007, 07:42 PM
We haven't had a good film draft in a while.
Maybe you might wanna get in on the fun.
:]

What to draft:
6 Actors/Actresses
1 Director

After drafting all of the above you come up with your film idea. Doesn't matter if it's a comedy, horror or romance, but don't be stupid and draft joe pesci for a romance type of film. Make it all fit nicely.

It will be judged by a selected jury, we will hold a public poll and each participant will send me their ranks of the films. This way a true winner can be selected.

:]

It will start whenever there is a sufficient amount of users.

I'll leak out the first part's rough draft
PART I:
2003: Will Ferrell was on top of the boxing world, he was undefeated for over two years, until one night at Madison Square Garden he lost in one punch to David Hasseloff. Then 10 weeks later during a routine drug test a night before a rematch, Hasseloff’s agent Jack Nicholson switches Hasseloff’s urine sample (He was on roids) with Ferrell’s. Before the match begins the refs/judges suspend Ferrell for a month, and the rematch was rescheduled. Nicholson also makes up a story that Ferrell’s agent, Tucker, supplied him with the steroids. Tucker was then put on trial, convicted and put in jail for a year. As they put him away he shouts accusations that "it's because he's black!" and that "The jury was a bunch of old white ladies!" Despite this Ferrell decides to fight Hasseloff. During the fight one of the trainer-people, that give Ferrell water and stuff, slipped a drug into his water (because he actualy works for Nicholson) causing him to grow exhausted and become disillusional. During the whole fight he thinks that Hasseloff is his dad that left him long ago, so he tries to hug him, only to be knocked out in one hit.

Champ: The Saga of Stony Buttafuco (Another cheap Ferrell movie)

Director: Adam McKay
Cast:
Will Ferrell: Stony Buttafuco

Jimmy Stewart: George “Fast Feet” Smith

2003: Will Ferrell was on top of the boxing world, he was undefeated for over two years, until one night at Madison Square Garden he lost in one punch to David Hasselhoff. Despite this Ferrell decides to fight Hasselhoff. During the fight one of the trainer-people, that give Ferrell water and stuff, was bribed by Nicholson and slipped a drug into his water causing him to grow exhausted and become disillusioned. After only one round Ferrell is KO-ed.

2006: Ferrell, now homeless, is walking down a street in Philly late at night when he sees a girl (Fischer) being mugged. He thinks about helping her, but chickens out. Out of nowhere Jimmy Stewart runs up and punches the crap out of the mugger, using both quick feet and fist, he was able to land many punches (That were very weak, but wore down the mugger). Ferrell impressed asks if Stewart is a boxer, he replies no and Ferrell takes him and Fischer to a Chinese take-out place called PuPu, owned by an angry, old Japanese man (Pat Morita). Long ago, in a place far far away, called the 1980’s, Morita was Ferrell’s trainer, but when Ferrell got big in the mid-90’s Ferrell left Morita. (A flashback is shown of a 1980’s Ferrell jamming out to Bon Jovi's Livin on A Prayer while training with Morita.) After he was dumped by Ferrell, Morita had opened up a fine Japanese restaurant, but people kept calling it a Chinese restaurant and eventfully he converted it to one after it started losing money. Morita then kicks Ferrell’s ass and says that’s what he gets for abandoning him. Ferrell convinces Morita that Stewart has great potential and says that if Morita teaches Stewart technique, that Ferrell will get Stewart up to heavy weight size. Morita points out that Ferrell has a large beer belly, but agrees to it. But Stewart isn’t so quick to, but when finds the Fischer has a thing for boxers he quickly agrees. The next morning Ferrell and Stewart begin jogging up the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Stewart zooms up, while Ferrell passes out after 5 steps. Stewart carries Ferrell back home and Morita becomes amazed that Stewart was able to carry “A fatass like him” so far. Morita begins to teach Stewart techniques in the back room of PuPu. He catches on, but the shots he lands on Morita are weak. Fischer walks into the back room, and Stewart stops to look at her, allowing Morita a free shot to the head. Before he passes out, Stewart hears Morita say to him, stay focused. The training would continue for a month, and Stewart’s and Fischer’s relationship grows. Finally, Stewart gets his shot in a minor league-type fight against a 6’2 245 pound former linebacker from the U. Stewart gets knocked out in just 3 rounds. Ferrell calls the other boxer a cheater and jumps in the ring and kicks his ass. As Ferrell leaves, via “Police Escort” he is stopped by Chris Tucker, who convinces him to box again. Ferrell spends the next month in jail, as Stewart wins two more fights and gets noticed. The next month Stewart gets his first heavyweight fight on HBO. He struggles at first, but ends up winning. Ferrell also gets his shot, in an overhyped match between Ferrell and a top boxer. Ferrell wins without much a challenge.

March 2008: Hasselhoff, Ferrell, and Stewart are the top 3 boxers in the world and Ferrell was about to face Hasselhoff for the first time since the tragic ’03 accident. Hasselhoff had yet to have a match go past the 1st round. The week before the match Ferrell fights in an exhibition against Brett Favre. The match was being anchored by non other than John Madden. Favre proves to be a challenge (and was fresh after a recent super bowl win jk) and Ferrell constantly hears Madden talking about how great Favre is that, he jumps out of the ring and bashes madden’s head with a microphone, and shouts, “Why don’t you get a new boyfriend!” and “Why did you give Anthony Spencer such a low rating!?!?!” Ferrell is kicked out and before his trial the next week he talks to Brett Favre, who offers encouraging words because, Ferrell was about to quit boxing, and ends their little talk by saying “Never Quit, do you think I quit after Mike Sherman told me I was old, NOPE, and then he was fired, and do ya think I quit after I threw 29 interceptions, NOPE, and then did I quit when McCarthy told me Aaron was the future, NOPE, and did I quit after I won the Super Bowl in ’07, YES, but I had achieved what I set out to do. Remember, never quit.” Favre walks away in a puff of smoke. The match between Ferrell and Hasselhoff is rescheduled for December, when Ferrell gets out of jail. Nicholson, who sat in attendance at the trial remarked to Ferrell, I wonder who could’ve asked Madden to be the announcer at that match. Chris Tucker over hears it and gets angry and lurches out at Nicholson only to be pulled back by Hasselhoff and thrown to the ground. Hasselhoff begins to leave, when Stewart stands up and challenges him to a match. Hasselhoff accepts and the match is set for August. Morita, Fischer, and Tucker warn him about fighting Hasselhoff, but he says “I know Stony would do it for me, to protect my honor.”
Ferrell is seen in jail in the next scene and says “I would never go fight someone to protect that little dumbasses’ honor.”

August 2008: The big fight begins and Hasselhoff is immediately stunned by Stewart’s ability the fight last’s for 13 rounds until, Hasselhoff lands a devasting punch to the groin, but the ref (bribed by Nicholson, and the judges) pretends to have not seen it. Hasselhoff is called the winner. That night Morita gets drunk and begins picking fights with people in a bar, on purpose so he could go to prison and train Ferrell. When he gets there he finds Ferrell had grown fat on the food served in the White-Collar prison. The training begins…

December 2008: Backstage before the fight, Ferrell asks Tucker to teach him how to “moon walk” because he wanted to do it as he went to the ring so everyone would think he joined a gang while in prison. Tucker teaches him, but he doesn’t catch on (Though he thinks he does). Fischer goes backstage and tells Ferrell to win one for Stewart, who is in a VIP box in a wheelchair. Ferrell, half assedly, moon walks as he walks out to the stage, making everyone fall silent with utter confusion (he thinks he scared them). The fight starts and Ferrell proves to great a match for Hasselhoff. But in the middle of the fight as the two men sit in their corner, Tucker gets a call from Nicholson, who tells him that he has taken Stewart and Fischer hostage in a private VIP box, and if he wants them to live then Ferrell would throw the fight. Ferrell agrees and the next round he does terribly. But Morita comes up with a plan to sneak up to the VIP box to save them and begins to leave, but Ferrell exclaims that he would be lost without Morita, but he leaves anyway and tells Ferrell to stall the next round and that he would call Tucker when he saves the couple. Ferrell does so, and as Nicholson watches he thinks Ferrell is just trying to make it look believable, and not look like Ferrell completely throw the match. Morita busts into the VIP box and lunges at Nicholson only to be stopped by fear of Nicholson pulling his gun. Nicholson pulls out both of pistols and aims them at Fischer and Stewart, but using lighting speed, Morita kicks one of the firearms into the air, but the other gets aimed and fired at Morita’s ribs. Fischer grabs the gun laying on the ground and shoots Nicholson in the foot. She grabs the other gun as Morita calls Tucker to deliver the good news. Ferrell had grown weak in the fight though and wasn’t sure if he was strong enough to win the fight. Before the last round, as Ferrell clings onto life, the words of Brett Favre reappear in his head, and Ferrell decides not to quit. And in one hit knocks out Hasselhoff.
6 months later business is booming at PuPu: Japanese Restaurant, with the special being Johnson's Ribs. Chris Tucker becomes the Drew Rosenhaus of boxers. Fischer and Stewart are engaged and Ferrell becomes a motivational teacher.

6 months later business is booming at PuPu: Japanese Restaurant, with the special being Johnson's Ribs. Chris Tucker becomes the Drew Rosenhaus of boxers. Fischer and Stewart are engaged and Ferrell becomes a motivational teacher.

I love this one.

Champ: The Saga of Stony Buttafuco (Another cheap Ferrell movie)

Director: Adam McKay
Cast:
Will Ferrell: Stony Buttafuco
David Hasselhoff: Erwin Blitz
Jack Nicholson: Drake Flowerhouse
Chris Tucker: Germaine Cook
Jenna Fischer: Cindy Jacobs
Jimmy Stewart: George “Fast Feet” Smith
Pat Morita: Fusao Johnson
Brett Favre as Himself

2003: Will Ferrell was on top of the boxing world, he was undefeated for over two years, until one night at Madison Square Garden he lost in one punch to David Hasselhoff.
