Not bad picks for the Giants. I love the Dre Moore and Josh Barrett picks, but depending on how well Kiwi does, I wouldn't mind seeing the Giants picking Keith Rivers in the first.

Terrible packer picks, Stewart doesnt warrant that kind of value yet, (and we probably wont be picking at 8 anyway) DE is hardly need, okay 3rd

28. Philadelphia - Keith Rivers - OLB

60. Philadelphia - Chris Ellis - DE

92. Philadelphia - Dorien Bryant - WR

Round 1 pick: Excellent choice, though Connor could work too.
Round 2 pick: Like it, but Chris Long is dirty too. Or maybe Jack Ikegwuonu
Round 3 pick: Like it as well. Nicely done.

I like Rivers a lot as a future replacement for Spikes, Matt McCoy obviously isn't the answer there, we love having depth on the D-Line so even though we may have our 2 future starters in Cole and Abiamiri, Kearse and Howard are getting up there in age, so its good to get young guys for the future rotation, and I wouldn't complain with a WR, but I'd rather have more depth in the Defensive Backfield.

I wouldn't necessarily cry from joy and happiness, but I'd be very happy.

Round 1

14. Pittsburgh - Limas Sweed - WR

Round 2

46. Pittsburgh - Shawn Crable - OLB

Round 3

78. Pittsburgh - Doug Legursky - OC

1) Derrick Harvey - DE/OLB, Rey Maualuga - LB, Ryan Clady - OT, Brian Cushing - OLB, Barry Richardson - OT

Better Picks for Round 1.

2) Not a bad pick. I love Crable, but I think he'd be an ILB/OLB for our defense like Mike Vrabel... I think we go OL in one of the first 2 rounds.

3) We have Okobi, Mahan.. and 2006 drafted Marvin Phillip. Not to mention WIllie Colon. I don't think we need a Center.

although I like Sedrick Ellis from USC i think if Barry Richardson OT is available we grab him.

No need for a LB. Give me the DT there or a WR like Marcus Monk there.

In rd 3 Safety or RB could be good picks depending how those positions pan out this year. (If Brown can stay healthy if Archuleta becomes decent again, if Chris Harris and Danieal Manning develop. Benson/Wolfe do well)

Also in the end I can see us taking Ellis in round 1 and using our 2 3rd rders to trade up for a guy like Tony Hills or Kirk Barton in the second.

Good job tho.

Round 1

2. Tampa Bay - Glenn Dorsey - DT

We won't be picking in the top ten... That being said, I love the pick!!!

Round 2

34. Tampa Bay - Eric Ainge - QB

Great pick! If Booty or Henne are available they are the pick though.

Round 3

66. Tampa Bay - Davone Bess - WR

I'd rather have Dorien Bryant. Bess is in a pass-happy offense. He's bound to get catches if he's good or not. Plus Bryant is a kick returner which we've never had in our franchise history.

Overall Grade: A

You hit our three biggest needs in the first three rounds. It would be an A+ if you had better players in each spot.

I believe Jonathon Stewart is the best NFL RB prospect in the nation. 5'11" 230 pounds and runs somewhere near a 4.4 forty. He's an absolute beast. I'd personally take him over McFadden on my NFL team. Spare me the Brandon Jackson spiel.

As for Lowery, Great talent, but he's a small school prospect.

Earl Bennett is nice value in the second but we do not neccesarily need another wide reciever just yet, especially not that early. A good pass rushing outside linebacker like Vernon Gholston or Quentin Groves would be much more logical there, as would Carlson or even Martellus Bennett at tight end if those guys are still available like you have at that spot in the second. I'm not a huge fan of DeJuan Tribble, I would much rather have Chris Long there in the 3rd (which he won't be there) in that scenario. Dwight Lowery or Jack I. would be better picks there at cornerback I believe though if we had to go that direction. Nice first round, can't complain there, other than I hope we aren't picking high enough to get him, unless there's a trade involved... :)

You could see Kearse and Howard cut if they don't perform this year or if Kearse gets hurt. Don't doubt the Eagles if it comes to taking an OL or DL.

They will not cut both..they would be taking way too big of a hit. And for starters...neither have done anything that would lead to them being released less than halfway into their contracts. No chance...They also signed Trent Cole to a 6 year extension, signed Juqua Thomas to a 5 year deal, and draft Victor Abiamiri in round 2...Their is NO chance, even if they do cut ONE of them. None whatsoever.

Should be fun to see two teams in the same division be 1 and 2 in the draft.

I'm sure it's happened before, but I still find it very unlikely. I think we will go road-road for wins this year. It wouldn't be fun for me as a fan of the Bucs because McKay is really starting to get a good grasp of the draft and we just keep going downhill in that department.

BamaFalcon59
07-28-2007, 09:31 PM
McKay still can't draft a WR to save his life. It's not like he hasn't had some busts with us, and the move for John Abraham was a dumb one seemingly. A DE near 30 who is injury prone and requires a high salary over a first round pick like Tamba Hali. Though I can't complain too bad getting our likely guy (Jimmy Williams) in round 2.

PACKmanN
07-29-2007, 01:32 AM
Ill give you some help for the Packers.
1. Keith Rivers, OLB, USC/ Xavier Adibi, OLB, Virginia Tech- A trade down here and get Rivers. We would have traded our first to the Browns but didn't because our GM didn't think we were a player away.
2. Marcellus Bennett, TE, Texas A&M- Why do you think we don't need a TE
3. Dwight Lowery, CB, San Jose State- I agree

Nopt to bad at all for the Steelers. I think you got the postitions right but you adressed them in the wrong order.

I'd like to see Dan Connor in the 1st round. I am in love with Dan Connor and he will be a killer 3-4 ILB.

Then i want a reciever and guard in the 2nd and 3rd round.

But if we got Dan Connor I wouldn't care about anything else.

I wouldn't.. if we take a Day 1 CB it better be Dwight Lowery.. he plays at SJSU the exact way we train our DB's to play. Plus he's a INT machine..

I think Jenkins is a bit overrated. I also think our LB Core and OL need more talent before CB does.
