According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, the Buccaneers terminated Rice's contract because he failed a physical. Rice, who had shoulder surgery last season, had played six seasons with Tampa Bay and was an integral member of the defense that powered the Bucs' 2003 Super Bowl run.

I wonder what kind of contract he would look for. I wouldn't mind giving him a large contract as long as its incentive based.

I always thought in the back of my mind that Millen knew he was going to get released. Really is a perfect fit for us.

if he's healthy we need to get him add him with our Dline and its a big upgrade for us he would help us out a lot

The Bucs cut him for a reason... If he's bad enough to where they don't want to waste a roster spot on him, what would we need him for? I think we're 'set' at DE anyways.

I'd look for the Redskins to sign him.

I'd rather use the money that we'd be paying Simeon and get CJ signed.

CJ should be signed first. Didn't they just cut Rice because of his HUGE contract?

failing a physical all depends on waht the team considers failing. He could be fine but they cut him due to his 7 mil contract. We'll bring him in for a physical im sure and if he's healthy why not try. He brings great depth, a veteran leader, he and Marinelli are on the same page and he knows the system better then anyone. He could help a ton with Kalimba and Alma-Francis. If the price is reasonable and he is healthy we definitly should bring him in
