Just finished watching Zodiac...It was 2 1/2 hours long...let's just say it had me hooked, I didnt want it to end. May be a bit slow moving for some but, I think it was done beautifully. Great cast, great acting, captivating story. Very well done.

Tuesday: 300 and Hot Fuzz come out....I havent seen either...looking forward to both. (I'm probably the only one on here that hasnt seen 300 yet. :))

Well, that's all i got for now...discuss movies, old and new in here.

Chuck and Larry was good. As a tuba player, I did not appreciate the joke about tuba players and prom queens/prom kings. How tuba players can't go out with them. It was a little overhyped cuz I have liked other Sandler movies more, and also there were some ****** up parts in it that didn't need to be, but overall, I give it a B+.

I was really disappointed with that movie. I thought the plot was week along with the acting. I just saw it as Fox Atomic trying to make a quick buck off a good first movie knowing the people that liked the first one would go see it.

I was bored tonight nothing much to do and ended up watching 300 on the net. Quite enjoyed it but by pure coincidence I caught some 2 hour documentary on the subject straight after and much preferred that. I dont have any anal need for historical accuracy (far far from it), I was just more interested in the doc.

Samuel L. Jackson is playing Nick Fury. That is probably some of the worst casting I have ever seen. They should get the last actor to play Nick Fury.

Compare:

Just wasn't very entertaining at all. The only part that had laughing was the roof scene with Bart and Homer in the beginning. And that was just a slight chuckle. I'm glad I didn't spend the money.

I saw Shawshank Redemption the other day. The only reason I really stayed to watch it, was because IMDb had it as the 2nd best movie all time. Reason enough I thought. But boy, am I glad I watched it. Definately top 3 in my book, probably number one. What a good movie. I caught myself in awe at the last thirty minutes. Just a great movie all around.

Hot Fuzz is the shiz. The editing in it is amazing. It's one of those movies where if you have surround sound, it's just amazing. Turn those speakers up, the audio will throw you in the back of your seat. Really good twist as well and Nick Frost is funny as hell. Basically it's a 2 hour thrill ride with great diologue, good laughs, and a ton of action (the final shootout scene is awesome!).

Just got done with 300 again, amazing movie. Better than Sin City IMO. I was expecting a bit more but still awesome. Butler stole the movie, great performance. "Spartans, tonight we dine in hell." What a kick ass line.

Oh and here's The Dark Knight Teaser:

Beat you to it.:) :) I have had it for awhile though. I loved the movie too. Actually I have loved all 3 of them.
I like when Bourne puts the book on the guys face and then punches it. There could be a 4th but the author will have to write a 4th book first....I actually liked the idea of moving the camera around during the fight scenes but thats just me.

I saw Rush Hour 3 and almost had a heart attack it was so terrible. Everyone else in the theater loved it though, to the point where after one joke about black people liking chicken or something that got everyone a hootin' and a hollerin' I turned around and went, "REALLY?!"

I've heard good things about Fracture and The Lookout...each got a 7+ on IMDB also.

Vacancy is also out...Kate Beckinsale/Luke Wilson.

Fracture was VERY good. Anthony Hopkins was great, as usual.

It was good, not great. People forget about what the Simpsons were first about when they aired on April 19, 1987 on the Tracy Ullman Show. It was a satire of the perfect American family. The Simpsons was originally meant to revolve around satire and that is what it was best at. The first animated show to include both satire and some great pop culture references. Sadly, newer episodes of the Simpsons (roughly season 8+) have steered away from satire and focused more on the antics of Homer, Bart, and Lisa. Homer progressively became more and more stupid as the seasons went on to the point where that is possibly the crux of the show.

But the movie was still funny, just not great. =D

That's pretty much how I felt, too.. It could've just as easily been a Family Guy movie with basically the same script.

Yeah, it was incredible. It was amazing to see the transformation that took place within him while he was in prison.
