This will take a while but will crown the ultimate fantasy man. The draft will be for player abilities right now. Only the best will be allowed in, I am looking for 8 men. Again if you are weak hearted don't join.
Ok guys here is the fantasy draft for real men, you can draft any sport in any order but your final team must have the following, you will be judged in matchups for each individual sport, so you can either try to get a solid all around team or focus heavy on a few sports, but be careful:

*8 Football Players: 1 OL, 1 WR, 1 RB, 1 TE, 1 QB, 1 DL, 1LB, 1 DB,
*6 Basketball Players: 1 PG, 1 SG, 1 SF, 1 PF, 1 C and 1 WNBA Player
*7 Baseball Players:1 1st baseman, 1 2nd baseman, 1 3rd baseman, 1 catcher, 1 Outfielder, 1 Pitcher
*4 Hockey Players:1 Wing, 1 Center, 1 defender, and 1 Goalie
*4 Soccer Players:1 Forward, 1 Midfielder, 1 Defender, 1 Goalie
*2 Golfers:1 Male, 1 Female
*2 Tennis Players:1 Male, 1 Female
*3 Track and Field Athletes:1 Sprinter, 1 Hurdler, 1 Longdistane Runner
*2 Swimmers, 1 man, 1 female
*4 Miscellaneous Athletes:1 Racecar Driver, 1 Boxer,1 Lacrosse Player, and 1 Bowler.
Total, 42 Rounds.

Scoring will go like this:Say you have a better basketball team in your matchup you get 6 points because that is the # of players drafted and say you win swimmers that's 2 points.

Yeah It's gonna be half judging half voting. I will allow co-gm's and you can be the king and queen of fantasy drafting.

I think we should have a seperate draft for each, it will get extremely confusing if it is all jumbled up

I guess that's because of credibility (which is surprising)? Because activity-wise, I'm probably more active than just about everyone in this. But I don't really care to have a co since I know enough about all of the sports and IMO it's really too hard to wait on someone else, so if that's the case, I can just drop out.

Co-GMs don't seem like a good thing for this type of draft and what you're trying to determine. I'm assuming you'd prefer to have TTGS in it and I'm fine with that, but I'll have you know that I've finished first and second (the football one is all but declared done, so congrats Rob) in my last two drafts

Well Supermcgee not being as qualified as others I would like for him to have a Co.

Co-GMs don't seem like a good thing for this type of draft and what you're trying to determine. I'm assuming you'd prefer to have TTGS in it and I'm fine with that, but I'll have you know that I've finished first and second (the football one is all but declared done, so congrats Rob) in my last two drafts

you can co with me mcgee. bills fans have to stick together.

For sake of the Bills, I could do this

pm me your AIM or just IM me sometimes for strategy purposes. The button in my profile is correct.

I guess that's because of credibility (which is surprising)? Because activity-wise, I'm probably more active than just about everyone in this. But I don't really care to have a co since I know enough about all of the sports and IMO it's really too hard to wait on someone else, so if that's the case, I can just drop out.

nvot9

Lmao that's gotta be a joke...

Kobe only averages 1 more ppg than LeBron, yet his team is worse, he has nearly 2 less rebounds per game, less assists, less blocks, less steals, a lower FG and 3P %...

In Kobe's first four seasons of the NBA, he averaged

7.6 ppg
15.4 ppg
19.9 ppg
22.5 ppg

Meanwhile, LeBron has averaged

20.9 ppg
27.2 ppg
31.4 ppg
27.3 ppg

Kobe's career ppg is 24.0 while LeBron has 26.6 career ppg. Please...Kobe better...yuk.

My point was just because Kobe has 1 more point per game doesn't mean he's better. That's, for the most part, all he's good at...scoring, and the fact that he is only better at that than LeBron by such a minute number means that he's not significantly better than LeBron at scoring. LeBron meanwhile, is better at everything else...

I'll take Hurdler:
http://english.people.com.cn/200403/08/images/lx.0308.jpg
Xiang Liu, he is the greatest hurdler in the history of Track and Field, he was actually voted as most popular Chinese athlete ahead of Yao Ming, he is the world record holder in 110m hurdles, there is no competition for him he is one of the most dominant athletes at his sport. The only man that could ever rival him was a 4 year younger Allen Johnson but even he is now past his prime and no better than the 4th best hurlder in the world. Between Liu and Webb I have the most dominant runners at their events far and away.

I have a suggestion and I'm boldening it so the chance of it being read is higher. Being that we are doing an "ultimate" draft and atleast half of these sports are not known by the common NFL fan, we shouldn't do the typical vote where people can select in a poll. That means that any random person can just choose the first team they see with a big name guy. However, if we make new threads for each match-up and then make it so that you have to WRITE your vote it will make sure that if you're gunna waste your time to write out the vote, then you're gunna make an intelligent, or as intelligent as possible vote.

For example, the voting would be like this...
-------------------------------
Initial post including NO POLLTeam 1: blah blah blah

Team 2: blah blah blah

Then in order to vote, you have to make a new post saying...

I vote team one because blah blah blah.
Teams 1 leads 1-0

----------------------------

If this is confusing, let me know, but I think this is the smartest way to go about voting to get the most intelligent votes and make sure someone deserving wins...

that is a good idea, it would suck if some1 lost bc people didnt know who they were voting for. I mean, nobody knows runners and nobody knows who mikey powell is unless you know lax. That is a good idea and I think people should have to break their vote down giving points at each sport and saying why they gave those points.

But you guys act as if people that randomly vote know all the mainstream sport's players. Hell, on a football site there are a lot of people who are awful when it comes to voting in those football mocks. So really, it's a good idea, but this would be something that should really happen in all mocks. Not that it really matters because people could just chalk it up to "opinion" and every vote would count anyway, but it could at least come closer to legitimizing some of these wins.

well, of course, but the fact is that this is even more unpredictable when it comes to voting. I mean, I know Ghetto would be pissed if someone took a more well known runner and beat his early selections. same with me and Mikey Powell for lax, he is clearly the best, but if people dont know him they may just throw the other person the vote.
