Wireless help

I just bought my xbox 360, and I'm trying to set up the live. Now I don't want to buy the wireless adapter, because i hear it lags alot. So I'm trying to find a way to hook up the Ethernet cable up. The thing is I don't have an Ethernet plug in my room. Could I buy like a cheap wireless booster that comes with an Ethernet port in it?

Or is the wireless adapter worth the hundred bucks?

Just buy a ethernet cable and run it under your house, thats what i did.
