A surprise player I can see making it through camp is Matt Willis. Word out of camp was that he was doing well. Both from the coaches and players I think. Our offense is looking for someone to stretch the field, and while Demetrius Williams can do that very well, it's never bad to have another. Yamon Figurs hasn't stepped up and Devard Darling and the human tree Clarence Moore don't appear to be going anywhere. Willis, a former track standout with only 2 years of college experience at UCLA, should make the PS, potentially the roster, and maybe one day be on the game day roster.

1 more possible UDFA who could make the team is Edgar Jones. He's a prolific pass rusher from a small school, and with Cody's injury, that could give room for Jones to maybe crack the roster if we decide to keep that many OLBs.

I hope we get someone who could be a legit backup coverage safety. I hope they get Martin some reps at FS.

For me, that guy would be wide receiver Damien Linson out of Central Michigan. I was up there on day 7 and he made some really nice grabs and is a playmaker. I was impressed with him.

I think he deserves a chance on the practice squad at the least, especially with guys like Darling and Figurs. Darling hasn't done anything special and I would make a case that Yamon has been the #1 most dissapointing player in camp.

I hope we get someone who could be a legit backup coverage safety. I hope they get Martin some reps at FS.

I disgree with that. I realize that we need help with our depth at safety, but Martin is a natural corner and he has been a stud in camp. In my opinon he's been our most impressive young corner, ahead of Pittman, Oglesby, and Prude. His natural ability is almost unmatched by his fellow corners. Not only is he quick and athletic, but he has a huge frame for a corner and he could be a great bump and run type player. He's one of my favorite young players. I think he has a great future and I wouldn't do anything to hamper his development (i.e. move him to safety)

Brendan Carney is a beast! He does everything in at camp, punts, holds, catches passes in drills, and has a pretty good arm. I love this kid.

If he could do Kickoffs and put the ball 5 yards deep in the endzone routinely then he might make the squad, but since he cant he won't be here long.

Sorry about that guys. I must have heard wrong about Kracalick. I overheard it on WNST, but wasn't paying full attention. They were probably talking about him being ready to play like ERU said.

Im not as glad as some, now if anything happens to Brown or Chester we have a rookie backup instead of a veteran. Plus it was the last year of his contract we should have kept him to keep strong depth then let him go after the season.

Only real surprise is Cory Ross.

I wouldn't really call Cory Ross getting cut a surprise, because we did draft Yamon for a reason. Cory Ross couldn't take any kicks anywhere last year when B.J. went down.
But i would sort of consider Evan Olgesby getting cut, but it was sort of expected because of our 3 young corners.

I would have rather had Ross since behind Willis we have Anderson who didnt show anything last year and is 32 or 33, and Musa who will be on IR by week 4 or 5. Where as with Jones we have so many players in front of him on the depth chart.

If Musa stays healthy we are all good and if he does get injured we have PJ Daniels on IR, so we can activate him after week 6.

Not much room for Moses with all the backers we have right now. Not to mention that I thought he was way overrated and I think that was proven to be correct after being cut.
