things I've been hearing about certain groups in TC:
QB's
It's looking as if the starters job may be more open than Petrino lets on. with how poorly Harrington is performing on some days it's looking as if Shockley may get some snaps with the first unit in the preseason.
RB's
Norwood is looking sick, but in a surprise, don't be alarmed if Justin Vincent makes the roster as the #3 RB.
FB's
Snelling is solid but Mughelli is a beast
WR's
#1 Jenkins
#2 still up for grabs. White & Robinson being led by Horn at the moment. White is above Robinson though.
TE's
Milner and Fells may be pushing Blakely off the roster.
LT
Omiyale is close with Gandy... could possibly start if he impresses in preseason.
LG
Blalock locked it down.
C
McClure locked it down
RG
Forney locked it down
RT
Weiner locked it down

LE
Anderson has the job. don't be surprised to see a lot of Davis on both sides of the line though. think 75% Anderson and 25% Davis here.
NT
Gravy is the starter... 50%. but expect Trey Lewis and Darrell Shropshire to win the other spots (Lewis 35% Shroppy 15%)
UT
Coleman is the starter, but don't expect the drop off from Babineaux that the press wants to believe... when both are healthy expect 65% Coleman 25% Babs 10% Shroppy
RE
Abe has it locked down but again, don't be surprised to see Davis play a lot. think 75% Abe and 25% Davis here.
WLB
Nicholas will get the backup job here. Williams starter
MLB
Tony Taylor is looking likely to win the backup job here. Brooking starter.
SLB
Boley starter. but don't be surprised if Jordan Beck moves over to SLB before the end of camp in order to secure his roster spot.
LCB
Hall starts.
RCB
Houston will start sometime within the first 4 games. has been impressing. though I love what I'm hearing about Lewis Sanders.
FS
Williams looking like the day one starter. Crocker backup
SS
most interesting development here. Milloy is the starter, but Stone has been moved from FS to SS citing too much competition at FS and Stone was just impressing to much to be let go. so Stone is now the backup SS/possibly the future starter.

I have no faith in Shockley, if he starts im prepared to write the season off. Hopefully im made to eat my words

Also, i presume your just guessing about the % playing time cause im sure they wouldnt know that for sure yet untill they have seen the guys play.

Hearing that about Stone is very interesting, providing its consistant with the actual thoughts of the coaching staff because no one has heard anything about Stone thus far publicly. I always thought he'd be a SS with his size and after he ran a 4.6 at the combine

it is a guess on the %. the 4.6 isn't accurate for his true speed from what I have been hearing. he is able to play both spots.

I was a big fan of Shockley during the draft process, but I am justifiably nervous about the possibility of him starting already.

It will be intresting to see how Shockley plays tonight, I've always thought he played better in games then practice.

I would like to see us sign a proven HB for the #3 job unless someone steps up the next 2 pre season games.

I understand. I'm just hoping it could be a Tom Brady type situation more than anythign else.

I really doubt Grady plays 50% of our defensive snaps.
