My question to everyone is which games are poised to be upsets in this coming season. There are a lot of very good non-conference games as well as some great in-conference games.

My pick is Washington over Ohio State in week three. I think that Ohio State lost a lot on their offense last year and might take this game for granted after playing Youngstown State. =D

I think Illinois is going to pull a big upset over one of the powerhouse Big Ten teams.

Should be is correct. We all know Zook can't coach at all.

It's not that hard to become a quality school when there is some extra persuasion that goes along during recruiting.

To do that they'll have to break one of the very best defenses in the country and stop Chris Wells. (but it is possible since they are at home, but Washington is not a good team)

#1 defense in 2005. Jimmy Williams, one of the top corners in the country, and Daryl Tapp, and what happened when we met in Jacksonville? At one point it was 27-3, and should have ended that way had it not been for Mickey playing prevent the rest of the way.

Anyone over Florida right now would be superb. I'm praying Florida doesn't win the NC.

Didn't they lose something like 9 or 10 of their 11 defensive starters? Not to mention that Tebow has yet to prove he can be an effective passer. I'd be real surprised if Florida went back to back.

Off the top of my head, they lost:

Ryan Smith
Reggie Nelson
Earl Everett
Brandon Siler
Marcus Thomas
Ray McDonald
Jarvis Moss

That's all I can remember now.

Washington State over Wisconsin... hahahahaI'm going to be at that game. While I obviously would be surprised if it happened, I wouldn't be completely shocked. The Badgers are always best when they are underrated, and always tend to disappoint when they are expected to do well. The fact that we're this highly rated off the bat scares me a little.

In the SEC...

Kentucky over Florida (at Kentucky) is the only one that would be considered an upset, let alone "shocking." Florida will have to outscore most of their opponents to win, and Kentucky boasts a great offense.

Maybe even Alabama over Auburn (at Auburn), if Saban converts to the 3-4 smoothly. But that game will be at the end of the season and is a BIG rivalry, so who knows.

Man, I'm a UK fan but I can't see it happening... Sure would be awesome.

I think UK can take down Tennessee and Louisville although those aren't that shocking. Our schedule is rough (go figure, a tough schedule for a SEC team lol).

Kentucky over Louisville is my pick.

Florida State over Virginia Tech
Miami over Oklahoma
FSU over Florida
Alabama over Auburn

Those aren't really upsets... especially the Alabama pick...

Ranked team vs another ranked team isn't an upset. I think KY loses to Louisville, and wins against Florida. At least, as a Tennessee fan, that's what I'm hoping. :)

Alabama is 0-7 against Auburn, and Auburn is ranked higher ahead of them in the pre-season polls. Despite the intense rivalry, I think its an upset if 'Bama goes into Auburn and wins.

Theres gonna be a huge upset in Oxford, Mississippi Saturday when the Florida Gators come to town to play the Rebs. Especially now with starting QB Seth Adams hurt, this will give over-criticized Brent Schaeffer his chance to reach his limitless potential. Haha don't take that seriously

I was reading that hoping that you werent serious. Then I read the last line. The line on that game has to be like 30.
