I know a lot of packer fans that hated the aaron rodgers pick, and a lot of you still hate it. I know it's just preseason but has he won you over yet? He looks very impressive so far. Does he look like the future of your franchise?

I'm warming up, but I'm not fully committed to him

What he said, I still wanna see one year from Favre as the starter

yeah, he looks solid. and a young QB can't have too much time to learn. but, i can't get past the fact that i'd rather have almost every other QB drafted early since 2005.

Warming up. I think the whispers he's made recently about really wanting to play and whether it's here or somewhere else, (he'd like to do it here as he said) are because I think he feels he is probably playing a little better than Brett this year so far. Or he just feels it coming closer because he's had more playing time and an increased role among teammates. Or a combination of both.

Warming up, if Favre could have a very good first drive, I would like to see Rodgers run with the First Team against a 1st Team Defense in the preseason , that would show how much he has improved to me.

I've been won over by him since the day we drafted him. I was very high on him coming out of Cal and I thought he was better than Alex Smith. The fact that he has 3 years to study behind one of the greatest QB's ever has me convinced he will be successful. Ofcourse I could be all wrong. A-Rod still hasn't recieved enough playing time to show whether or not he'll be succesful. His accuracy and instincts alone should allow him to jump in right after Favre has left and be an impact player.

I won't come to a decision until I see him play a full season as an NFL starter. I think he'll be starting opening day next season.

I never hated it, and I never will. Even if he turns out to be an absolute bust I won't disagree with the pick. He had a very good chance to go #1 in the draft until a couple days before it. If that opportunity falls in your lap with an aging QB you have to take him. Looking back it doesn't look like the best pick, but Thompson didn't know how long Favre would stick around, none of us did. Had he retired after that season and we didn't have Rodgers we'd be ******. It was a move for the future, the plan is for Rodgers to come in and be ready the first game he starts. Hopefully that works out for us. Personally I think he'll do alright. He's not going to be at Favre's level, but you can't blame him for that. It's going to be a different style, and he'll actually fit McCarthy's offense better than Favre does. Aaron doesn't have a cannon for an arm, but he's very accurate. We should be able to run an effective west coast offense with him. A lot of running with short and medium passes mixed in. Also by the time he gets a chance our defense should be very good, so he can be somewhat of a "game manager". As of now I think he could have a decent NFL career. Obviously we need to see him more in real games to make a decission though.

He hasn't technically won me over yet but then again I don't think he could have in his situation no matter how well he plays in preseason games. Until he plays in a real game, then I won't honestly get hyped up for him or start bashing the pick of him. I do have the most respect for him and how he is handling his situation of sitting behind Favre for three years and possibly more. I'm not bashing Favre but I do actually kind of hope that we can have Aaron as our starting QB next year and the team can be his. That way if he is a mistake then we can recover from it sooner and not hold back this great young core of players that we have at this point.
