he signed the franchise tag offer because the bears said they wouldnt slap him with the tag next year. so pretty much he's gone at the end of the year

That is, if he plays on 3/4 of the defensive downs, which for a linebacker of his caliber, shouldn't be difficult.

What sign are we talking about? The Devon Ave. sign he ran over last night?

Goodbye Lance Briggs. Commish Goddell hardly knew ye. Fleeing the scene of an accident. Oops.

I'm pretty sure any of his friends or family members could take the blow of this, if it was him. I'm guessing it was more likely a someone who borrowed his car drunk, got in an accident, and said f a dui and left.

i don't know about you... but if i owned a Lambo... i don't think i'd be letting anyone else drive it.

I'm thinking Lance was out at a party, got a bit drunk and crashed. Then realizing that since he didn't hit or hurt anybody else he could leave the accident because, if he did get caught for DUI and crashing the car he'd probably be suspended, and that's not good for his future and contract, etc. Now I'm not the type of guy that automatically thinks bad things and rushes to judgment when these things happen to players but this one I got a feeling about.

1. Briggs isn't dumb enough to let somebody else drive this car.

2. If he crashed it just in plain bad driving, he would've called it in, got it towed, all that stuff.

3. If he was intoxicated and this happened, he wouldn't report it because he'd get a dui charge and maybe others. Instead he probably would have somebody pick him up.

But, I could be wrong.

They can't prove he was.
That's the thing.
Reasonable doubt... and if it's still possible he wasn't (which any of the aformentioned are possible) he gets scott free.

I don't know about you...but I don't have millions of dollars to buy several Lambo's like Lance...

I think it would be absolutely hilarious if Goodell suspended him and he didn't get to play in 75% of downs, and then we franchise him again just to piss him and Rosenhaus off

you dont run from a crime scene unless you got something to hide. based on my stereo-typical view, i would say he's packing heat while sniffing some coke, and getting blown by a white *****.
