View Full Version : Mock Draft Tweaked

Hey,

Just wanted to let everyone know that I tweaked the mock draft a bit, changing about ten picks to one extent or another.

I also removed a few underclassmen (Jonathan Stewart, Michael Oher, Martellus Bennett) and added a couple as well (Malcolm Jenkins & Ryan Clady). It's always a fine line with the younger guys in terms of who to include and who not to but as a rule of thumb I try to keep the number around ten which means if someone is added then someone has to be taken out.

Overall I'm much happier with this version so check it out and as always if you don't see "August 23" at the top you need to refresh the page to get the latest version.

Enjoy!

Happier with the Packers selection and Terrell Thomas really took a dip

I'm intrigued by the Giants pick. Harvey is an animal and teamed with Osi would make a nasty young duo for years to come. but i think kiwi may move back to DE in the next 1-3 years, but it's interesting. If strahan does retire, it depends on how Justin Tuck plays starting at LDE

Nice Packers pick, I can definitely see a corner being taken, but like I have stated before, the player will be interchangeable as we roll closer to the combine.

I still don't believe the Steelers are going to a 4-3 anytime soon.

Even so.. Doesn't the Tampa or Tomlin 2 incorporate a NT and UT? Sedrick Ellis is a NT and putting him and Hampton side to side would be untouchable, but I don't see either as a pass rusher.

Im glad to see Malcolm Jenkings in the top 15 because Ive been campaigning for him awhile now. Personally I would like to see the Steelers go O-line or corner this year in the first.

I'm torn between liking the Harvey pick and hating it. Kiwi will probably move back to DE if Strahan retires, but I never really liked him in the first place. I know the Giants have pressing needs at other positions (OLB, LT, S), but getting two strong DEs to rush the passer would help our defense considerably.

i don't like James Laurinaitis to the pats. I just don't think that 3-4 ILB is a great use of his talents. I really think that he will go to a 4-3 team since he can play any LB spot in that scheme.

I like the mock. The Raiders are number one and the Texans finally take an offensive lineman.

Ellis definitely has the skill set to be an UT.

I've watched USC and I see Ellis penetrate, but I don't think he's a Tommie Harris or Glenn Dorsey type.

But if we are looking at a 4-3. It may just be me but I think we need a top notch weakside DE. I think Keisel or Aaron Smith could play DT. Because Frankly.. the only 4-3 capable DE we have is LaMarr Woodley.

RDE: ?
NT: Hampton -> Hoke
UT: Keisel -> McBean
LDE: Woodley

Like the Chris Long pick. Pair him with White, Redding, and Rogers and thats a nice Dline.

Still givin the Falcons plenty of love! Lol...I love that we dont have a top 10 pick =) I think the birds may surprise some people this year, our first string defense is nasty...0 points so far, but people only see that we don't have Vick...so, *shrug* I know we lack depth, but SOMETHING has to go right for us right? =)

UT is a need and Dorsey is a heck of a player and pick...

BUT

Calais Campbell/Kenny Phillips would be absolute sickness. Unlikely, but I'm still dreaming.

Pairing Calais and Gaines, would give the bucs ridiculous pressure from the Dline.

So you would take Gaines/Campbell or Gaines/Dorsey?

While Dorsey fills a greater need, Campbell is a greater talent, i guess it would all come down to how they performed this year.

if you're going to take DE/DT rounds 1 and 2, in my opinion, Campbell and a guy like Dre Moore would be better than Dorsey and a guy like Kendall Langford

Calais Campbell on the Skins would be a dream, but he won't be available with the 32nd pick.

Well then it is a good thing for all of you Redskins fans that he will be available with the 1st pick.

I would prefer other offensive tackles over the guy you have the Chiefs drafting. I would rather have Barry Richardson.

Obviously, I can't get behind the idea of Oakland picking first again. But I just can't seem to get upset about it considering who it gets us.

McFadden/Bush. Scary.

they'll suck so bad the NFL will take pity and give them one more high one.
