I will kick things off in a moment with our day 1 Combine Show of players who have declared earlier today...

joing me, the commish Brian Rice, is LB/GM Memphis Sizzle, QB Dylan Dellisanti and... special draft god

SCOTT WRIGHT the best draft guy there is... he was nice enough to answer some questions for us, and even has a little surprise at the end!!!

you can PM and AIM questions at any time during the show!!

Chet Taylor talks about RB World Free.

"Last year I singed World because I thought he would be a good fit to play fullback for the Jackalopes. We already had our star runner in Benn Hart but through the year Free got some more carries and really showed that he would make a great starter on any team. I talked it over with Free now, and he loves the idea of going to a new team to start. I'm talking about a possible trade now with a few teams and I'm looking for a draft pick. However, I do not intend to cut Free. If I can't find a trade partner, World will remain a Jackalope, but I'm hoping I can work out a deal."

Now I'd like to introduce my first guest, star QB, Dylan Dellsanti!!!http://media3.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/photo/2005/09/03/PH2005090301715.jpg
(insert cheering crowds)

Rice: Nice to see you Dylan.
Dylan: No problem, comish. Anything for you, and you know I love this time of year!.
Rice: Don't we all? The tension of who will go where, who's gonna be the next Rodgers or Quinn? Who will be the sleeper? who will your team pick? WEll lets get into the questions, shall we?
Dylan: Of course.

Rice: Dylan, who are your favorite players in this draft? guys you'd love to see drafted as your team mates?
Dylan:What players do you think you're team should look to draft?
I’m hoping we can grab my former teammate Eric Lewis from Maryland. The man is a complete stud and will easily fill the gap. Also DeAngelo King is another favorite prospect of mine (another Terp) he could fill the void left by Mexico Eater or he could play DE and be a dominant pass rusher. Offensively, I hope we can grab DeAndre Morrison from Vandy; he played against top competition in the SEC and is a tall target who could play TE.

Rice: Now Dylan, what player is the most intriguing to you?
Dylan:Dmitri Titov.
Has a cannon of an arm and surprised people when he got the starting job at USC, but played very, very well. But who ever drafts him should probably pickup Antwaan Davis a FA QB to start this season so Titov can develop, but next year he will be a top QB.
Rice: good point, he is raw, but his arm is a ROCKET! Now, what qualities do you like to see in a rookie?
Dylan: Someone who works hard. I don’t care if they talk trash so long as they are at practice everyday giving 200%. Kind of like my teammate Jason Baller, the guy can talk and walk.
Rice: True, talking and walking are both very important.
Rice: Now Dylan, there are always some small school guys who can flat out play, and get it done at the pro level. Who do you think is that guy this year?
Dylan:Aaron Brooks from Lee. The guy dominated all through high school and could’ve gone to Miami, V Tech, or USC.
Rice: Good choice, now to wrap it up here Dylan, who do you feel had the best workout?
Dylan:Someone from Maryland will have a Vernon Davis-Type Work out, but Andrew Sydney from Michigan is a guy to watch.
Rice: thanks Dylan, nice work as always and good luck on this upcoming season.
Dylan: THanks comish. Anytime.

Rice: Now after this commercial break, we will talk to the controversial yet entertaining Memphis Sizzle

Well, thanks to Blackie Chan, there is breaking news out of Vegas that we will evaluate on later...

Now onto the show, where we meet Memphis Sizzle!!!

Rice: Memphis, how is it going?
Sizzle: good comish, pretty good.
Rice: Let's dive right in shall we?
Sizzle: Let's do it.
Rice: Now as a GM, what players or certain positions are you looking at in this draft?
Siz:Since we are an expansion team we arent stiffling ourselves to one position or player, watch for us to be busy on draft day though
Rice: Nice strategy, now, What is your strategy when drafting? Need or Best
MS: As I said earlier, our depth chart is empty so everything is a need. We dont read much into were "experts" have players going, we have our chart, we know who we want and how badly we want them.
Rice: Many teams have had success following their boards in the past. Now an interesting question here, that I personally would LOVE to hear the answer for, Will you have players play with the "tenacity" that you do?
MS: I want players that have a passion and love for the game, we are gonna pride ourselves aggressive play, we will be the most feared team in the league.
Rice: pretty big, and good goal to shoot for. Thanks alot Memphis and good luck as GM and player.
MS: No problem, anytime.

well, after this break, I'll bring in draft god Scott Wright to break down some prospects, and gives us a little treat at the end. Stay tuned, but now, a sneak peak of the new Geico Cavemen sitcom: "In a Cave with Ryan Leaf".

Free Traded

Wyoming RB World B Free has been traded to Las Vegas for a 2nd round draft pick. Chet Taylor: "I think we both got a great deal here. I don't think Las Vegas would have found a running back of Free's value in the 2nd. I'm really happy about this and I wish Free good luck in Vegas."

Now I'm VERY HONORED to welcome in the God of Drafts, the Master of his craft, Scott Wright
http://news.bbc.co.uk/olmedia/1755000/images/_1755546_strip150.jpg

Rice: Wow, Scott I'm honored to be in your presence.
Scott: Thanks Rice, now if you dont mind, I've got my ceremony as most Awesome person ever award in a little bit, so can we get to the questions?
Rice: of course Scott, of course.
Rice: Now Scott, first I'll answer an E-Mail for Jack Lopers(hmm...) it is about the season's cap this year.
Scott: That's an interesting topic, I'd love to hear the answer comish.
Rice: it read "Has their been a decision made on a cap change? What if we kept it the same, but had extra money to sign rookies?
Rice: Well Jack, interesting point with rookie $, but that could get a little hectic. I feel the 5 million raise will help out all the teams. The addition of 2 teams will force teams to force paycuts, make trades or cut some players, who will quickly be scooped up. I do highly recomned that some rookies take paycuts such as my guest Dylan Dellisanti did last year.

Ok, now some draft questions for Scott!!! Ready Scott?
Scott: Of course.
Rice: Ok, now a question from Ima Kickyoa$$. hmm it reads...
"Is LB Memphis Sizzle the most talented player you have seen? His antics are widley known from autographing unconcious players helmets to throwing insulting T-shirts to opposing teams benches but he is amazingly gifted? What are your opinions of him and now that he is a GM do you think he is gonna draft players in the same "dirty player" mold as he is"

Scott: Well, I have seen more talented players, even at LB. Some great like LT, Butkus, Carson and MANY more, but Sizzles got loads of talent, but it seems his anger does limit his ability. If he controlled his agner, he'd be just on a whole new level of greatness.
Rice: ok next question: Which QB? Dmitri v Joe
Scott: ANother great QB debate. Dmitri is a special and rare find. Huge, Canon arm, but how will he translate to the American leagues and game?
also Joe is a smart, accurate leader. His measureables are what hold him back though. But could he be another Drew Brees? Can Joe be a Daunte in Minny? or a Jamarcus Russel? great debate, with 2 great QB's. I mean both are tested, as Joe went to a very good school(Rice: AHEM).
SCott: Ok, Joe went to the BEST school in Rutgers, but Dmitri faced some diverse D's.
Rice: Ok another question: Who's this years CJ?
Scott: Well Calvin is an absolute freak of nautre, plain and simple. But the closest thing to him in this draft, is between Morrison and Banks. Both have shown flashes of brilliance, and have also disappeared at times.

Rice: Ok next couple of questions here: Who is this year's top LB? and your favorite small school player?
Scott: Well best LB is DeAngelo King, i think of him as a Terrell Suggs kinda guy. Excellent pass rusher, and constantly improving vs the run.
My small school guy is Aaron Brooks from Lee, for all the reasons Dylan said earlier.
Rice: Now who is the hardest hitter this year?
Scott: on QB's i'd really have to say King, he makes QB's feel bad.
Rice: Last question here Scott, who are your surprise picks this year?
Scott: well, i dont really know Comish. If i knew they wouldnt really be surprises eh?
Rice: haha guess not Scott, thanks alot to you and all the fans who sent in questions. We'll be back with a nice treat, SCOTT'S 1st round mock!!!! stay tuned...

NOW THE BIG MOMENT:

SCOTT'S MOCK DRAFT!!!!

Rice: Scott this your final mock before the draft, correct?
Scott: Yep, but this draft is without a doubt the hardest I've ever had to mock
Rice: But you're amazing, so nobody will care!
Scott: awww thanks Rice
Rice: Damn Scott, you're so modest!! give it up for Scott Wright people!!!(insert mass amounts of applause, so strong it makes the deaf hear again, cuz Scott is awesome like that)

Scott:So here we go, starting at #1 is the expansion team the Hamilton Reapers.
With their pick, I have them taking....
DT Eric Lewis- reason: well they have so many options here, i chose him because of his NASTY demeanor, and teaming up on the same side of the ball with Siz could very well make the QB's crap themselves.

now, at #2, with LV, i see them taking:
QB Dmitri Titov- reason: it's Dmitri or Joe here. Blackie's gonna want the damn ball, and he needs someone to give it to him.

at 3: We have the Juggernauts, I see them going with:

DE/OLB DeAngelo King- reason: his talent is too good for this team to pass up. Their run D was less than steller last year, and he will help. He also brings amazing pass rushing skills to the table.

now #4: The Flash: they'll take
DT:Troy Brouwer- reason: let's face it, their D was not very impressive last year, and Troy will help immensly.

At 5, I think the Mafia take this route in taking...
. LB Scottie Slaughter. This hard hitter will boost this D, and fits the NY mold perfectly, hard hitter who performs well

finishing out my mock and the 1st round, here's my prediction for the Champion Jackalopes with #6:
Jack McDaniels DT-reason: with DT's going fast, the Jackalopes snatch up Jack. a talented young DT in a DT deprived draft...

Rice: Thank A TON Scott, keep up the great work, you're the bomb
Scott: THanks for having me comish

I dunno, I would maybe make it 4 rounds to A) make UDFA more interesting, B) we don't want to get a massive amount of people and then just have them leave when they get bored.

And also, am I right in assuming the comp picks are untradeable?

we'll see how it goes. I dont care if its 4 or 5 right now. but if it's 4, and one team scoops up the majority of UDFA's i dont want any whining or complaints or demands for comp picks...

Reporter: Scotty, how do you feel about being chosen by the expansion Hamilton Reapers with their very first draft pick, the number 6 overall choice in the ’07 Draft?

Slaughter: I am both honored and privileged to have been chosen by the Reapers. This is a big day for me and my family.

Reporter: Does it bring any added pressure to you that you are the first draft pick by this expansion team, and one that may be counted on to be the face of this franchise?

Slaughter: I don’t feel like there is any more pressure on me than any of the other guys that got drafted. We are all out for the same thing. To win. We were brought in to compete and that is just what we will do. As far as being the face of the franchise, I don’t think that can be decided yet. They made me their draft selection, which is all. Only time will tell who the leader and face of this franchise will be. I will do my part in leading this team in the right direction on and off the field. That is all I can do. There are some other guys that have been brought in as well to help this team compete, and I look forward to meeting and playing along side those guys during the season.

Reporter: Were you surprised by who was chosen in the first round by the other teams and the other moves made by the Reapers tonight?

Slaughter: I think we are headed in the right direction, we have some key pieces in place, and will have to continue adding more pieces to the puzzle tomorrow. I am not sure about all the moves we made; I know we traded for our Quarterback, Antwan Davis, early in the draft. And we also drafted my teammate from Miami, our stud MLB Trey Lewis in the 2nd round. I am excited about Trey joining myself and Memphis Sizzle in the linebacking corps this year. With the three of us, it should give the Reapers one of the best young linebacking corps in the league. That is about the extent of my knowledge for my team today, as for the other teams, there were a lot of good players in this draft, and only time will tell which picks will pan out. Some teams made some real strides today, and I’m hoping that with a solid Day 2, we will be in the hunt for a championship this year.

Reporter: Ok, but before you can get on the field Scotty, I want to ask you how you see your contract negotiations working out between yourself and the Hamilton Reapers?

Slaughter: I can’t speak too much in detail about that situation right now, because truthfully, it is a little early in that process. I haven’t had a chance yet to sit down and discuss details of a contract with the General Manager of the Reapers. In fact, that is what I plan on doing right now. I would just love, though, to be able to get this thing done as quickly and as painless as possible. I just want what I believe is fair for myself, and I don’t see as to why we should have any problems working something out, hopefully within the next day or so. I’m sorry that is all I can say for now, I gotta run, I got a plan to catch!

Reporter: Thanks Scotty.

turns to camera.

Reporter: Well that was the former University of Miami Linebacker and new Hamilton Reapers first round draft choice Scotty Slaughter. Now back to you!

A lot of people love that school but I doubt any of the people who put that as their player's school are going to attend Miami.

Well, it wasn't meant to be an insult or anything. I just found it funny that half the people put Miami as their school.
