I just watched the Pats game and within Delhomme's 1st 5 passes Carter and King drop perfectly thrown passes. Carter is a vet has 4.3 speed and is huge. It is ridiculous that Carter hasn't seized the other WR job. King is real solid at TE but not spectacular while Gaines is a freak of nature. Who do you think will step up and win these jobs?

Gaines a freak of nature? More like a freak at stuffing his face

King has already won the #1 TE spot but Rosario has been impressive so far, maybe he seizes the position sometime in the next year. None of them block very well, which is rather ironic given our anti-pass TE tendencies in the past

#2 WR is a mess. It looks like Colbert will get it by default

When I said Gaines is a freak of nature I was mentioning he was huge.

What about Dwayne Jarrett?

Do you think he'll step up and take the #2?

I'm thinking about nabbing him in my FFL.

Perhaps.

King is the definite starter at TE though. He is easily the best at both parts of the game and is really becoming a target.

Since Gaines is no longer around, I'd wager it won't be him.

I think Jeff King will step up and have a productive season of about 35 catches with 4 or 5 tds.

As for receiver, the only hope we have I fear is Keary Colbert. Jarrett has the potential but he's a rookie and I'm not sold that he's NFL ready enough to contribute in a big way.
