Are you kidding? Drew Henson?!?!?! He was gonna take that franchise to the promised land...big shocker, imo.

They expect Holcomb to fill the gaping whole they just created...pftt.

I'm a little surprised that WR Kyle Smith and WR Chad Owens were both cut considering both were playing for the KR position and Mark Jones is nothing special.

I wonder if Reggie Williams is going to get cut? That would be a big name. Or at least recent high enough draft status. I laughed at two of my friends when they picked both Reggie Williams and Matt Jones in our fantasy draft. I told them they both were awful and practicing with the third team. Then I swooped in a got Wilford in the next to last round.

I think guys should list their cuts...

Kevan Barlow was probably our biggest name cut..

I was hoping Connor Hughes would beat out Jeff Reed.

And I was Hoping Derrick Jones/Eric Fowler of GVSU fame, would make the PS for a year. Jones is too much of a freak to lose.

Keydrick Vincent has been cut today by the Ravens, not really a surprise but its a semi-big name.

Were any guards cut that are better than a 6th round pick rookie that played in a triple option offense in a 1-AA school?

I know Raiders WR Doug Gabriel was cut. Is that a surprise?

I know Raiders WR Doug Gabriel was cut. Is that a surprise?

Yes and no.

Yes because the guy has all the physical tools and talent to be a good WR in this league.

No because he hasn't been able to fulfill that potential on the field.

I wouldn't be surprised to see someone pick him up on a flyer, maybe even Jacksonville or even a Minnesota............

Tennessee.. Gabriel would be their #2 or #3 WR.

For the Colts, Rick DeMulling was a bit of a surprise. Veteran guard, was great in his first stint with Indy.

We seriously can not pick up another WR. We have 0 room.

No surprises from New Orleans yet. The biggest name so far is QB Jason Fife. However, there are rumors that DT Hollis Thomas and CB Fred Thomas will be released. We'll see what happens.

I know Raiders WR Doug Gabriel was cut. Is that a surprise?

nope the guy couldn't catch the ball consistently. One play he makes a spectacular catch and the next he muffs a gimme.

Surprise Jemetrius Butler got cut in favor of Byron Westbrook, also thankfully Todd Pinkston got cut after less than a week, he never got in the game.

No one surprising from the Bengals.

I think Keiwan Ratliff could be cut, he's just not a fit in our system. I think a Cover 2 team should grab him up as soon as he hits the market, he could be a stud in the cover 2.

And yet you kept Travis Taylor............

for now, he has dropped a few, but catches the ball when it's needed to move the chains, he's not a lock at this point. Only WRs on OAK you can bank on making the roster are Porter, Curry, Williams and Higgins, everyone else at this point is expandable.

Robert Ferguson!!! biggest surprise ever!! acutally no im surprised he made it this long he sucked and was always hurt i wish they would have cut his a** like 4 years ago.

Ingle Martin and Marviel Underwood were a surprise kind of but both were dissapointing after we had some hope for them so not really all that surprising.

Gabriel simply isnt the player he was a year ago before he was traded to NE.

If any team needs a solid utility #2 RB, FB, H-Back hybrid (I know Bengals may need another backup ball carrier) take a look at Jammal Branch. Recently cut from the Saints, just way too many good RBs on our team to keep him. At 230 lbs. he's a bigger type back who hits the hole hard, not a big play threat but he can get you some decent yardage if you need to spell your main RB. He also has good hands out of the backfield, and will contribute on special teams he played with great intensity covering kickoffs and punts so far in pre-season.

Also if you're desperate for WR depth, and need a 4th, 5th WR to fill out the corps. look at Jamal Jones. He caught 6 passes, for 108 yards last season in very limited duty including a 27 yard TD. However he does have a knee injury that's bothering him so he might not be ready immediately for the regular season.

Nobody expected Joe Salave'a to get cut for the Redskins. It's an alright move because we need room for younger people to step in, but we could use all the depth possible. He did have some nagging injuries though.

But, nobody saw this coming.

who did the Rams cut?

who did the Rams cut?

Wide receivers Rasheed Marshall, Nate Morton, and Markee White; fullback Brad Lau; running back Kay-Jay Harris; punter Fred Capshaw; defensive end Alton Pettway; linebacker Larry Edwards; and defensive backs Harrison Smith and Jeffrey Dukes.

That got them down to 76...they needed to drop one more.
