This guy was a true hero, and for 2 days he was heralded as such. Then, as the media monster always does, papers began to fabricate stories. It all started with one "news"paper and, as it works with the media, each outlet used that as a citation to spread these rumors, ruining this man who did nothing but save people's lives and limbs.
Now this man who should be remembered as a hero is only remembered as a former suspect in the terrible bombing in Atlanta. The media is far too powerful with far too many freedoms.

"For that two days, my mother had a great deal of pride in me -- that I had done something good and that she was my mother, and that was taken away from her," Jewell said around the time of the 10th anniversary of the bombing. "She'll never get that back, and there's no way I can give that back to her."
Thats a shame

That is truly a shame. There are definitely difference between what happens, and what you see and hear.

such a shame.. it's terrible how the media tries to twist things just to make them more interesting etc.

Same damn thing as the Duke LaX, those guys will be forever linked to that rape investigation, even though they were completely innocent. The media sickens me, as do people who blindly believe what the media tells them.

The Media is merely there to divert Americas attention to something else. They focus on something and repeat it over and over again.

This is why I don't watch the news.

I don't know about not watching the news at all, but as people have said it's ridiculous what they do. The key is that they still have to cite their resources and give the real information that they receive. The best thing to do is to watch the news, but look for the key phrases that would key the mind to media spin or a less than ideal source for the news.
