Earlier Cuts:

Jonathan Orr
Marques Ogden
Quartez Vickerson
Brandon Sharp
Andy Thorn
Jermaine McElveen
Glenn Pakulak
Andre Woolfolk

We have to get down to 53 by Saturday. Michael Waddell is already on IR, we are likely working out an injury settlement with him so he can be released like Woolfolk.

The first cut of the 2nd round is in...Ryan Smith. Says we want him on the PS if he doesn't sign elsewhere.

Rumor on titanscentral is that LaMont is gonna be cut. Apparently Jim Wyatt said this also.

Mike Otto
Terna Nande

I'm a little surprised that they cut Nande, simply from a depth perspective. The Titans look pretty thin at OLB -- as we have Bulluck, Thornton, Gardner, & that's about it...

That's a little surprising, especially since we cut Mike Otto earlier. If Roos gets hurt, we're screwed at left OT now because I don't think any of our backups (basically Loper or Amano) have the skills or experience to play that position.

I think we should pick up Keenan McCardell. That way we can have two starting WRs whose combined age tops 100.

McCardell was cut a few days ago, Mick. I'm looking for Nande to be put on PS again.

So glad to see LaMiss go. Didn't see them cutting Roby, though.

Couldn't disagree more on Griff. He's made plays at corner. They think he can be a great cornerback. Give me a great corner over a great safety any day of the week.

Lowry doesn't have to be anything special. He can be average...and it will still be an upgrade. I know you guys have seen the stat on LaMont from last year. It was something like "He was 79th out of 80 safeties in deep ball coverage". Maybe that's fine if you're also a beast in run support. Turns out that LaMont is basically the exact opposite of that. Bad in pass coverage, bad tackler, takes terrible angles.

Lowry has already shown that he can hit. That's one area that he's already a major upgrade over Thompson in. Now all he has to do is defend the pass better than the 78th rated safety in the league. I'm pretty confident that he can do at least that.
