Something is wrong with my itunes...

this is the message i get when i start it:
Warning!

The registry setting used by the iTunes drivers for importing and burning CDs and DVDs are missing. This can happen as a result of installing other CD burning software. Please reinstall iTunes.

When i try to burn a cd this is the message i get:
Disc Recording not found...

now im assuming reinstalling iTunes would fix the problem but i dont want to lose over 2500 songs... what should i do?

Check to see if you have the latest version of iTunes. I had that same problem with some version of iTunes 7, then it got fixed with an update.

you won't loose your songs if you uninstall iTunes and then re-install it. and if you want to make sure, just consolidate your library before you uninstall it. you should be good. to consolidate it you go to advanced up at the top left and find consolidate library and it should automatically start when you click it. it will take like 15-30 minutes for 2500 songs depending.

nah it's a website, they use rips put on sharing websites. You download albums with your own i'net speed, so that's usually 300+ kbs.
