This drive determines who people will call the best QB for the next year. Brady TD - Brady best.

Nothing, Colts Win - Manning best.

Brady>Manning, until he wins 3 as well. At least IMO. I know not everyone agrees with me.

I couldn't agree more.

How about Peyton MAKES 3 first ?

So you're saying he is better than Elway? Favre? Marino?

Answer.

Is this for me?

If so, not better than elway. Will be remembered as better than favre or marino in the history books. (brady that is)

what abt montana

If he wins another one, then hes mentioned in the best ever in a tie with montana.

If he wins two more, i dont see how he is NOT mentioned as the best ever.

The Bears can totally play with Indianapolis. They are a great team and if Grossman plays anything like he did against Seattle, not a great performance but just pedestrian, they can win it.

Well guys, I'm going to kill myself tonight. :(oh come on you division rivals, I am not the biggest Manning fan either but I'd rather see anyone in SB than BelichickNope, i was rooting for the Pats all the Way, I HATE the Manning, Archie is just a *********** IMO.I hate Archie and Eli but not so much Peyton even though his commercials could get annoying at times

i hate eli, he blows so much

The only Colts fan that stayed on here, but man, I can't believe the emotions going through me right now. Do you know how many "so-close" moments I have had to wintess in my life! I can't even type coherently but I don't want to go back and edit!

Wow, at least Manning has one up on Dan Fouts.

I may not like Brady, but anyone who calls him a choker for this game does NOT watch the game of football. He played his ass off and deserves more credit than anyone. He should've won if Caldwell wasn't partially dumb. Good game Patriots fans.

Brady just threw the game clinching interception... don't ruin this for me

Tell me that you're alright,
Yeah everything is alright.
Oh please tell me that you're alright,
Yeah everything is alright.

Give me a reason to end this discussion,
To break with tradition.
To fold and divide.

Cause I hate the ocean, theme parks and airplanes,
Talking with strangers, waiting in line..
I'm through with these pills that make me sit still.
"Are you feeling fine?"
Yes, I feel just fine.

Tell me that you're alright,
Yeah everything is alright.
Oh please tell me that you're alright,
Yeah everything is alright.

I'm sick of the things I do when I'm nervous
Like cleaning the oven or checking my tires
Or counting the number of tiles in the ceiling..
Head for the hills, the kitchen's on fire!

I used to rely on self-medication,
I guess I still do that from time to time.
But I'm getting better at fighting the future,
"Someday you'll be fine.."
Yes, I'll be just fine.

Tell me that you're alright,
Yeah everything is alright.
Oh please tell me that you're alright,
Yeah everything is alright.

Give me a reason (I don't believe a word)
To end this discussion (of anything I've heard)
To break with tradition (they tell me that it's not so hard)
To fold and divide (it's not so hard)
So let's not get carried (away with everything)
Away with the process (from here to in-between)
of elimination (the long goodbye)
I don't want to waste your time.

Tell me that you're alright,
Yeah everything is alright.
Oh please tell me that you're alright,
Yeah everything is alright.

(Alright)
Tell me that you're alright, (Hi, everything's great)
Yeah everything is alright. (Everything's fine)
Oh please tell me that you're alright, (Hi, everything's great)
Yeah everything is alright.

Now, I'm just wondering which is a more important matchup.

Bears D vs. Manning
Thomas Jones/Ced Benson vs. the Colts run-D
Grossman vs. the world
Smith vs. Dungy (as it will be in the news about two black coaches which is good but now when there's another black coach in the SB, we can treat it like another coach)
Manning vs. Playoff Past
Mark Anderson vs. Ryan Diem

and just for fun:

Gould vs. Vinateiri

I think its Manniong vs. the Bears D. The most productive QB in the NFL vs. the best defense.

Media will probably love the 2 black coaches. Yes I realize its a big step for minority coaches but I really don't want that to be the focus for the next two weeks. As Lovie said, in an ideal world, this wouldn't be an issue.

Probably still Tom Brady.

Tom Brady threw an int. on their comeback drive, under the pressure that it was said that he thrives in. Peyton outplayed Brady, proved that he can win big games, and he already outstrips Brady in the regular season and it isn't even close. Peyton Manning is better than Tom Brady.

Yeah, its not like brady has done it in the playoffs consistently. Not like he led 2 game winning drives in the Super Bowl. Manning won a AFC championship. BEST QB EVER.

Marino set a lot of records in his day. If he won that 1 SB, and montana kept his 3, would you say marino was better because of all his records?

Im not saying manning is a bad QB, hes easily 2nd best. I cant put brady behind him. Being a good QB isnt about throwing 50 tds. To be the best in their current generation, he has to be consistently good in the playoffs. 1 year down..

And congrats to manning. He deserves it. If he wins a SB, easily top 5 of all time.

If stats made great QB's, marino would have been the best, by a far margin.

Manning has played poor in the playoffs. Its not all on him. But he has played noticeable poor in the playoffs, especially considered to brady, at least before this year.

Im not saying manning is the worst, i cant put him ahead of brady. Brady makes the players around him better as well. Were reche caldwell or jabar gaffney any ever good before they came to the patriots? How about not having a great RB before dillon came? Brady doesnt have as good a supporting cast as manning, unless you think caldwell and gaffney are better than harrison and wayne.

Ok I fixed that for you, the "comeback drive" against the Panthers was an astounding 20 yard march down the field in which Brady completed one pass. That is not a comeback drive.

Ok if you really want to talk supporting casts, how about having a horrible defense? That makes being the qb a whole lot harder when you have to carry the team. I assume you watched the game? There were defenders in Mannings face every pass, he was knocked down on most of his throws and NE was getting great pressure. Yet he still managed to lead his team to victory. The pressure on Tom Brady was not near that which was on Manning and the Patriots lost. Peyton has proved he can win in the playoffs which was the only knock on him so now it is definitive that he is the best qb in the NFL.

Comeback drive? He won the game on it. Whether you undervalue it or overvalue it, it is what it is.

Your bringing up this 1 game. Ill readily admit, yesterday, manning played better. But brady has been better, longer. You talk about defense, but can you deny how manning has played poorly in the playoffs, ESPECIALLY considered to his regular season? He is madly inconsistent. He will tear apart denver, but play terrible against new england or pittsburgh. Yeah, his defense aint so hot, but he has played badly as well. He simply isnt the same in the playoffs, its apparent when i watch him.

If brady had such a good defense, he wouldnt need to drive downt he field TWICE to win games, would he? Wouldnt his good defense mean he wins games comfortably? Instead they have won EVERY sb by 3. Good defense, but not stout like you seem to make it out to be.

He is NOT the best QB in the NFL. Records dont make him the best. He doesnt elevate his play in the post-season for the most part. One good game doesnt change it. If he wins a SB, it doesnt change it. He is number 2.

that's a completely ridiculous, irrelevant comment. maybe his defense HAD to be that good to keep the pats in the game. maybe you're not giving the other team enough credit. maybe every team the colts played had a worthless offense but the colts defense was far worse. maybe brady just sould've played ball control a bit better instead of giving the ball back to the other team so often, or conversely, should've scored enough to win comfortably instead of giving the other team chances.

I made a comment like that because when you see people talk about brady's D, they seem to hype it up like Brady has to do nothing but let the D dominate. Brady has still had to win 2 games in the last minute, so its not like hes trent dilfer. Thats what i meant to address.

As for brady's play, he hasnt played PERFECT, but he has played damn well. He rarely makes mistakes. Thats why i take brady over peyton.

much better argument and one i can buy.

for the record, i don't really have a strong preference, but i find that more people who don't know what they're talking about tend to like brady (visibility maybe?) and seem to make the worst arguments for him.
