Mock Draft using the power rankings voted on by us here at NFLDC...

1- Oakland: Jake Long OT Michigan
I doubt an OL actually goes #1, but Long will fill a huge need in Oakland.

2- Dallas(fCLE): Darren McFadden HB Arkansas
They can now get rid of the underachieving Jones and they get this year's Bush

3- Atlanta: Brian Brohm QB Louisville
Brohm should come in and feel right at home.

4- Kansas City: Sam Baker OT USC
The best OL available.

5- Tennessee: James Hardy WR Indiana
Im still riding the almost 1-man Hardy band wagon, but i think he will be a great deep target in Tennessee.

6- Miami: Glenn Dorsey DT LSU
I think he's a steal here, and will add youth to an aging DL.

7- Minnesota: Calais Campbell DE The U
Will be great on a DL with lackluster pass rushers.

8- Tampa Bay: Andre Woodson QB Kentucky
With Garcia aging, Simms not progressing that well, Woodson is a great pick here.

9- Detroit: Malcom Jenkins CB Ohio St
Right now i dont think they have a secondary.

10- Houston: Steve Slaton HB West VA
With the top OT's gone I think they pick their future at RB.

11- Buffalo: Dan Connor LB Penn St
Poz and Connor should be an unstoppable duo.

12- New York Giants: Keith Rivers LB USC
Should replace Mitchell or move Kiwanuka back to DE and solidify their LB core.

13- Washington: Derrick Harvey DE Florida
A great pass rusher who should help a team without a good pass rush.

14- Arizona: Kenny Phillips S The U
Him and Wilson in the secondary is reminiscent of Laron and Taylor

15- Green Bay: Antoine Cason CB Arizona
Should soon replace oe of the aging CB's.

16- New England (fSF): James Laurinitis LB Ohio St
Should replace Bruschi

17- New York Jets: Chris Long DE UVA
I think he can replace Von Oelhoffen.

18- Carolina: Tom Zbikowski S Notre Dame
I feel like the last remaining Zbikowski fan, but he should find a starting in Carolina if his coverage improves.

19- Seattle: Tashard Choice HB G Tech
I dont think Alexander can be who he used to be with injuries and age.

20- St.Lous: Aqib Talib CB Kansas St
Should help a terrible secondary

21- Jacksonville: Colt Brennan QB Hawaii
David Garrard is not the future.

22- Pittsburgh: Desean Jackson WR Cal
He would be a complete steal here and could replace the aging Ward.

23- Philadelphia: Early Doucet WR LSU
Im not sold on the Philly WR core and i think he would make a great addition.

24- Dallas: Malcomm Kelly WR Oklahoma
I just saw him catch 3 TD's :)

25- Denver: Sedrick Ellis DT USC
Should solidify a young DL.

26- Cincinatti: Phillip Wheeler LB G Tech
Im not at all liking the Cincy LB Core.

27- New Orleans: Dwight Lowerey CB San Jose St
They have an absouletly terrible secondary.

28- Baltimore: Ray Rice HB Rutgers
I doubt he declares, but
A: Im not sold on McGahee
B: Normally I would pick them to get a QB, but Boller just got a contract extension.

29- Chicago: Matt Ryan QB Boston College
I ofcourse dont like Grossman

30- San Fran (fIND): Limas Sweed WR Texas
I dont think Jackson is the answear.

31- San Diego: Terrell Thomas CB USC

32- New England: Adarius Bowman WR Oklahoma St
Its hard to find 2 weaknesses on this team worth fixing the first round, but Moss is up there in age, and Stallworth has injury issues.

Really funny, but we need to go QB, OL, TE, DT and S before we go DE.

We do have Erasmus James who would be a monster if he could stay healthy. We also drafted Ray Edwards and Brian Robison the past two years who are both very good pash rushers.

I think that Baltimore would either pick up Terrell Thomas or Matt Ryan, but I wouldn't be mad with a Rice-McGahee combo in Baltimore.

James Hardy fifth overall? That Hardy bandwagon better be pulled by Hardy himself at 50 mph... I actually think our offense does fairly well this year, and the Titans don't usually select WR's in the first round (Last one was Kevin Dyson...). I'm a fan on best defensive player available, which would be Dorsey and fills a need. But if Hardy proves that he's head and shoulders the #1 WR, I won't mind the pick.

I love the Keith Rivers pick-up. Best Weak-side LB in the draft. =D

I would take Sweed, or an OL before Ryan. QB can easily be had in round 2 in this draft

Hardy is great player, but not at #5, i would EB before him or even Jackson.

I doubt Kenny Phillips falls out of the Top 10.. and if he was there when the Lions picked.. #9 in this scenario.. I think he'd be the choice.

I agree with Buck here Right now it would looks as if DE is not a big problem anymore as Ray Edwards looking like an animal, Brian Robison playing well and Erasmus Coming back off injury. It could change by end of season but right now I think Kenny Phillips would be the perfect pick there.

I really do think that, if available, the Cards will snatch up Antoine Cason in a heartbeat. He would be a great CB in our otherwise lacking core group of CBs

I dont like the Vikes pick. Erasmus James really hasnt had a chance to perform yet, he was out the whole year last year. Ray Edwards is locked in for a while at one end, and the Vikes love Brian Robison.

You realize you only have two OT's going in the 1st round in a relative strong OT draft class? That will never happen. I'd take Clady or Cherilus over Ryan any day of the week.

EDIT: Didn't see your update.

Mr. Stiller
09-11-2007, 11:29 PM
I don't think the Steelers need a WR. Ward still has 3-4 Years in him and I think we have too many holes to fill (OLB, DE and OT) to use a pick on a position we're relatively stacked at.

I'd prefer Calais Campbell for the Lions, but since he's gone I guess DB is a good choice.

Dorsey doesn't fit in a 3-4. Definitely good value and need, but an awful scheme fit. Kenny Phillips would be a great pick.

Jackson prob wont fall that far but if he did I wouldnt want him in Pitt. An undersized speciality player would not replace Ward. If they were going WR (which is doubtful) they need a big possesion guy. We have way too many guys simular to Jackson and it would be a wasted pick. OL, CB, DL, OLB, RB should really be the only 1st round considerations in that order.
