I've seen it all over the place, might as well consolidate them. Ok let's get them out there. Here are a few of mine.

1)The Lions have the second best offense in the NFL.
2)The Steelers are going back to the Superbowl, unless New England, Indy, San Diego, Tennessee, Denver, or Houston does.
3)All teams not mentioned in the AFC are terrible.
4)The Bears will finish last in the NFC North. The Bears never should have traded Thomas Jones.
5)Thomas Jones is terrible.
6)The Eagles won't win a game this year. Andy Reid is the worst coach ever.
7)The Saints will allow 600 points on defense this year.
8)The Colts will score 600.
9)Everyone that thought Joe Gibbs was washed up was wrong, except for 2:00 left in the 4th quarter when they were right.
10)Randy Moss invented football.

Lucky...

Also, Chris Brown will run for 2,800+ yards this season, averaging atleast 175 yards a game. Hey, if he can run for 172 vs the 4th best run defense in the league, think of what he'll do against the Colts who are obviously terrible against the run, due to losing so many starters on defense. I'm calling for a 263 yard game next week for Chris Brown. You heard it here first!

What are you talking about? Vince won the game for the Titans. He is solely responsible for the Titans pulling out the win today. Chris Brown who? He had nothing to do with it. Neither did the great offensive line play. Vince Young is the only reason the Titans win games.

How often does a QB get a chance to win the game for his team? Not too often, and it takes a LOT of circumstances coming together. Vince Young did not win that game today, the Titans did.

Brian Brohm: First off I'd like to say how excited to be reunited with coach Petrino. Being the #1 overall pick is exciting, in and of itself, but coming into this situation is truly something special. I'm excited to get into camp and take steps to become the face of the franchise and leader of this team.

http://media3.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/photo/2007/03/27/PH2007032702127.jpg

Rich McKay: To me this was clearly the correct decision. Anytime you have the first pick in the draft there is inherent risk. So whenever you can add a player whom the coaching staff is already familiar with it is a tremendous advantage. Obviously this team is in desperate need of a leader, on and off the field. With Brian he combines great play with great character.

http://media.scout.com/Media/Image/40/404930.jpg

Bobby Petrino: Obviously were excited to work with Brian again. He brings tremendous leadership to our team. He brings everything you look for in a Quarterback. He is already fluent in our terminology and the majority of our play-book. He will come in from day-1 and will take this team to where we want to be.

http://media3.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/photo/2007/03/27/PH2007032702127.jpg

Rich McKay: Now I will open this up to questions.

http://www.maynardije.org/columns/dickprince/070131_prince/moore.jpg

Terrence Moore: How do you envision Brian Brohm playing in the shadow of Michael Vick?

http://media3.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/photo/2007/03/27/PH2007032702127.jpg

Steven Jackson's lofty goal of 2,500 all-purpose yards will fall just short as he gains 960 yards total for the season.

Tony Romo is going to throw 64 touchdown passes this season and cement his spot as unquestionably the greatest QB of all time.

The Colts are going to finish the most amazing season of all time. Compiling a 16-0 record with a points differential of 656-160.

The Patriots and Bills will prove incredibly difficult to defeat because of their tendency of returning at least one kick for a touchdown per game.

The New York Giants are going to miss one extra point every game this season.

In an season unlike any other, there will be a complete lack of parity. 16 teams will somehow finish 16-0 while 16 teams finish 0-16. These standings will result in the most significant coinflips the sports world has ever seen.

He won. Stats don't matter if you make your team win as I've said 1000000 times.

He did not "make" the team win. The offensive line was amazing, and that won them the game. His touchdown was a rushing touchdown from behind the offensive line. He did badly in the passing game. And they won the game. I was being nice when I said "very mild" because of that, and because of all those (perhaps you?) Vince Young fangirls who think he can do no wrong.

I'd hate to be Chris Brown and the offensive line, because I work my butt off and own everybody, and all the credit defaults to an excuse of a quarterback.

LOL...thats funny...no he doesnt deserve all the credit, but dont you find it wierd that on paper, or without vince the titans are somehow the worst team in the NFL, bound for a top 3 pick, yet whenever he starts they end up winning somehow...was the offensive line and chris brown looked at to be this good in the off season? because i dont remember too many people mentioning those 2 would be reasons they ended up winning any games, but hey, what do i know...

Vince Young being quarterback had very little, if anything to do with them winning that game. The running game, sparked by Chris Brown, was not made better or improved by Vince Young. Just because people were not talking about Chris Brown does not mean he wasn't the reason they won, thats such flawed and ridiculous logic. What your saying is becuase people talked about Vince Young, and not a RB who got over 170 yards rushing, Vince Young is the one responsible for the win?

Alot divine entities in the NFL. Who'd a thunk it.

Who is that dude with the wings on his feet? Cuz Vince Young is soooooooo him!

Cheer up Mr. Grumpy Gills! The offensive line did play extremely well, but to say Vince Young had nothing to do with them winning is wrong. He would have gotten 2 rushing TD's, but he decided to stay in the pocket and throw it, despite having a clear path to the endzone. And, Vince Young can't do wrong. He's black Jesus, and perfect in every way imaginable. I loves him, and want to bear his children. And I find that that dream is in no way wrong in any shape or form.

Chris Brown has gotten his credit. The O-line not so much, but anyone who saw that game realized that the O-line was dominant. Vince Young didn't win the game, but by just him being on the field, that benefited every other aspect of the offense. I remember a few times when Mike Peterson or another Jaguar wouldn't pursue the Titans RB just because they wanted to keep track of Vince and make sure he didn't fake the hand off and take off with it. If he's such an excuse, then I guess if we had Kerry Collins play the game, it would have been a blown out?

Also, the Titans will have the #1 rushing offense this season, and only 137 more threads on NFLDC will turn into Vince Young debates.

great point! i mean, if the QB you have played poorly, you might as well pick an absolutely AWFUL qb as the counter-point! brilliant!

Whatever dude! His stats totally owned during the preseason! And as everyone knows, stats define how good of a player you are and how well you play! So therefore, Kerry Collins is a less-excusable QB than Vince Young.

I don't think anyone directly referenced stats, just that Vince's overall level of play was not all that great. It was the run game that won them that game, not Vince's dual threats, or his "winner" attitude, or his passing or anything along those lines.

I know. Its the overreaction thread. But, most of the arguments made against Vince Young are by people who just notice his stats, and make an assumption off of that. I know njx, Unseen, and most of the other prominent posters here don't do that, but his statistics seem to be the main ammunition used by his "haters."

Just out of curiousity, did anyone else besides a Jaguars or Titans fan watch the game, and not just the highlights on SportsCenter?

preseason stats are clearly more meaningful than regular season stats, especially for non-first string players.

on the other hand, throwing 18 times for 78 yards and an interception in a close game (and running 11 times for only 22 yards, giving vince a 3.4 yards per play average) is the height of not helping your team in a close game. but *shrug* i'm sure joey harrington played really well, too.

Harrington sucks. If you blind folded Vince Young, tied Vince Young's hands behind Vince Young's back, and then stabbed Vince Young in Vince Young's spleen, then Vince Young would only be 100x better than Joey Harrington...Vince Young.

but the fact that your standard reaction to any criticism of vince is to a) make up "evidence" that has nothing to do with what you're arguing or b) flip out and whine that someone's being mean to you is telling.

and for the record, i took several deep breaths before typing this post. it would be literally impossible for me to be more calm right now.

do you have any evidence that i "flipped out and whined" about vince, or cried about anything, or does that make you cool to try and throw those assumpions out there? does that make your post funny so someone can quote you and say "LMFAO njx owned you", because its pretty obvious ive done neither of the two that you pointed out i did...talk about irrelevant

Yes, it stung, but I have yet to feel the mythical sting of Vince Young. He has been terrible against the Jaguars in his career so far.

You guys have Vince's number, its true. But, most QB's struggle against the Jaguar defense. Not that it matters, since he's 2-1 against ya'll as a starting QB. This is something that I came across while on a Titans Forum. Its the stats of the QB's that faced the Jags last year or so:

P.Manning 14-31 219 yards 1 tds
T Brady 15-27 201 yards 3 tds
B Roethlesburger 17-32 141 yards 2 ints
C Pennington 10-17 71 yards 3 ints
D McNabb 18-34 161 yards
T Green 14-21 181 yards 1 td 2 ints
E Manning 19-41 230 yards 2 ints
P Manning 13-28 121 yards 1 int
C Palmer 22-33 239 yards 2tds

Per NFL.com. Every QB that threw for over 200 yards had at least 35+ pass attempts. A few good games...though from Manning, Brady, and Palmer. Not to mention, Vince was a rookie. A defense should do well against a rookie QB.

Also, Ewing enjoys getting the "shock value" out of things. Practically everything is fair game for him. His remark didn't bother me too much, since I could tell he was just joking, but he gets a negative reaction from many people.

I heard this stat on the local news. LT has the lowest ypc of any runningback in the league so far and has the most carries (20 more than the next guy).

He has 35 carries this year.

This is a rough start for Tomlinson, Johnson and Jackson fantasy owners. Those were the top-3 picks in every draft and it's been ugly. Gore wasn't too much better in week 1, but redeemed himself today.
