Im personally not going to be watching American Idol, except for maybe the auditions. But, I know that many people do and I feel that it deserves a topic.

I was pissin myself when the girl was singin Under Pressure by Queen and David Bowie.....lol..... and the girl who was doing the Lion from Wizard of Oz.... People who go on there and think they have a legit shot and are terrible are the best... Thats why after the first couple of weeks the show gets stupid.

the show is fixed. they have a screening process to determine who gets to sing in front of the judges...so, the producers are obviously hand picking the really bad or really wierd ones.....and of course, in doing so, they pass up the deserving people.

Obviously there isn't enough time for 10,000 people all to go through those 3 judges and so a prescreening is necessary. The prescreening is simply like a first cut and so they keep all of the people that have a chance and then for good television's sake, they also keep some of the really bad ones to get humiliated.

Yeah I agree to an extent. Especially this year. It seems like they are really exploiting people this year more than others. Other years it seemed like it was more just dumb people who actually thought they were great. Now there is definately something not right with some of these people. The guy they called a monkey definately had something wrong with him.
