Ali Larter is hot and all (although she was hotter in Varsity Blues). But I still cannot figure out what the purpose of her character is. It seems like her, nor her son, nor her ex have anything to do with the main storyline. Other than the fact that they have powers and may also be on "the List".

My usual thoughts and such:

1. Peter's visions and stuff were a little weird, but it made some sense in the end. I'm still not clear on the extent of his powers.

2. Claire and Zack becoming friends again was pretty cool. I was trying to figure out what she would do about it, but this was awesome. I'm glad he's still around. I actually like his newfound confidence and attitude, too.

3. Not sure what nuclear man was doing out in the dessert. Looked like he was practicing and developing his power.

4. What the hell is HGB trying to do with Sylar? I know he doesn't want to take his powers. I think they're trying to figure out how he absorbs powers. Thoughts?

5. Everyone keeps complaining about how Nikki/Jessica has nothing to do with the storyline. In case you guys didn't notice, at the end of the episode, she was in her regular persona and had the super strength/aggressiveness to break the billy club without turning into her evil alter ego. I think that is interesting. I say the show remains awesome, so let's wait and see.

6. I love how Linderman is tied to everyone here. The connection is more than just coincidence.

The episode was called "Godsend". Perhaps it hails back to her praying to god when she was being beaten by her father, and Jessica was the answer to that prayer. A little cheesy as well, but the creaters are building something here. Don't judge until you see the full truth.

It's like I said before: They needed to get a fan base together in the first few episodes, so they got it going fast. Now that the show will have at least 1 more season, they have to slow down quite a bit. Basically, they have to draw out the "exploding man" thing until May Sweeps and build for the future.

Yeah, that seemed like a good possibility. Kind of hard to build a twist or new storyline off of it, though it could open up a whole thing about Claire asking her mom about how her dad was in the past and reveal to us just how he got to how he is today. Hmmm. Tension between the her actual mom and dad from both their old relationship and the whole way that he deals with the heroes. Possibilities!

I don't think the ages work out for Nathan to be Claire's father. They're positioning Peter as a late 20's/early 30's character, which puts Nathan as a mid-30's. While it is possible, I doubt he was out in the middle of Texas as a teenager/college student where he could have made that happen. I think they introduce a new character because they want more storylines and more plot trails. New heroes need to replace the ones that will die at the end of the season with the bomb and such.

I'm more interested in Hiro's father and the connection to Linderman than I am about Claire's father. I like the plot line there, but I'm much more interested in the Hiro storyline right now. I also want to see Peter's training as an empath at the hands of the Invisible Man.

The Zack thing is crazy, though it makes sense. It appears people with special abilities are drawn to one another personally. See: Nikki/DL, Nikki/Nathan, Nathan/Claire's mom, Peter/Claire, Peter & Isaac/Simone. Zack and Claire are friends, so one would think he has powers, too. Simone probably also has powers because Isaac and Peter are in love with her. I'm also thinking Ando has some sort of power as well.

I don't think anything is going to go down between Peter and Claire. First off, she's 16 and he's early to mid 20s. I don't think we're going to go down that road. Second, when he was talking to the invisible guy about her, he just talked about how she was a 'good kid'. Nothing to be alarmed about.

i think they're quickly getting to a new character limit, that is, they can't really add many more before people start to lose the ability to process and remember differences between them. it's like if you were in a room with 100 people for an hour, you'll remember maybe 15 of their faces. if you're in a room with 10 people for 20 minutes, you'll remember their name and some other personal stuff.

i just don't see them being able to add many more characters that aren't, essentially, one and done.

assuming we haven't and that all we've got is what i've heard, he strikes me as a bit of a kingpin figure, and a much more obvious choice for chief villain (post obvious upcoming showdown with silar). that said, if the "jessica" line involves much more whining (yeah it's humanizing, but it's distractingly annoying), i will be in favor of her death. hopefully that last split helps a bit.

We have not seen Linderman yet, or at least we haven't met a character that is identified as Linderman. He is quite the powerful man, and he has a connection to each of the characters. We don't know a lot about his business, but he has a lot of money and influence, which is pretty cool. He can easily be some sort of villain later on.

He broke the glass using his strongest power, telekenesis. He is so powerful, that he grabbed her with his power and pulled her through the glass. He was able to use his powers because the Haitian wasn't there to shield the area from his formidable strength. Eden wasn't able to use her powers against Sylar because he was preparing himself to cut head open and take her power. Thinking quickly, she shot herself in the head, so he couldn't do it. It was more of a gut reaction than anything else.

We've been saying for a while that now that the show has legs, they need to keep things moving forward at a slower pace. I wouldn't classify this as a bad episode at all. Nikki as Linderman's hitman was pretty cool (as I told you it would be), Hiro/Ando get separated in Vegas, Parkman shows he's not a goody 2-shoes, there's the drama with Claire and her mother/Nathan, and Sylar is with Dr. Suresh and gets another new power.

Next week, there's a lot of stuff going on, so stop your whining, all of you!

Yeah I was wondering the same thing about Simone in the explosion premonition.
And I'm not entirely sure what the extent of the new girl's power is, but it seems decent enough. Not sure how much we get into the character, though

Ando had a sling on so he obviously got medical attention. I'm sure the writers thought there was a lot more important stuff to get on the show than them talking to the cops.

Hiro did something different though. He reversed time, and then the gun flew out of the girls hand without anybody touching it. From what we know, Hiro doesn't have telekenisis or anything...maybe Ando has a power. Maybe their minds are bonded in a way, like if they both focus their powers they can do something else.

Did anyone notice that when Ando and Hiro were about to be shot, something different happened? They collectively stopped time, then went back in time a split second, and the gun misfired. It was like both had powers. I don't think that the show would bother with Hiro and Ando for this long if Ando didn't have something going for him.

Simone was getting in the way of the plot, and her death will make Peter a wild card. Also, since Peter has Hiro's power, he can reverse time and save her. I'm not too worried.Good point! I was thinking He could have healed her or something but that sounds even cooler!

I'm watching it on NBC.com right now and it looks kind of like an alien or something for a split second during a flash of light in the window behind Hiro. When they want to air an American show in Canada, a Canadian station has to buy the rights for it. In this case, Global has the rights to both Heroes and 24, and they opted to screen Heroes on Sunday and 24 on Monday, so we get it a day early.
