Sprint. Once you look past the fact that they dont get the popular phones, its very good.

01-21-2007, 01:31 PM
Cingular. It's not that bad since I live in a heavily serviced area.

Sprint but it sucks, I have to stick my head out the window and stick my finger in a socket to get it to work inside the house.

T-Mobile . . . I don't have too many problems with it anymore in my area.

When I first got it, I had great reception . . . everywhere except my house and at work. :)

Verizon

I don't like it because the Network guy never helps me out. It looks like on TV he is everywhere, but him and the whole network aren't sitting behind me as I type this....oh wait, yes they are. My bad.

Amp'd Mobile. I don't use a cell phone much so I have a Pay As You Go plan. I get excellent service. The only two phones that get service in my area on usually Cingular and now Amp'd. Amp'd uses Verizon's network too, so I believe it works with Verizon's "IN" plan although I'm not sure if there's anyway to check it. I just read it on a messageboard.

I'm with Cingular right now, and it's mediocre. I'm weighing my options right now, as my contract is up, but I'm not sure which one to choose yet.

I use Cingular and ever since they started the least dropped calls promotion they have begun dropping more calls than ever.

i have had both t-mobile and sprint.

t-mobile - i didnt get service in my house or most of the places i went (school, work, and buddies house) i called t-mobile and they said they would update their towers to better assist my signal. but nothing of the sort happened. then when i didnt renew my contract they offered me a new phone and free service for 2 months. i said eff you im going to another provider.

sprint - had them for about 7 months now and the service is great in socal and tulsa, ok. so if you are in the midwest or cali i reccomend them. plus i get free nights and weekends that start a 7 pm in stead of 9 pm. sprint is by far the best deal for the price. although i have heard verizon is the best and cannot be beat. but that is an extra 10 15 bucks a month for the same plan i have. not worth it to me.

I was on cingular for 2 years, just switched to alltell 2 or 3 months ago and imo its much better. I live in a pretty heavily serviced area for all companies but i just feel like the signals are stronger with alltell.

I also got a lot more dropped calls with cingular than i do on alltell (im pretty sure i still have 0 drops on alltell, no more than 1), so i have no idea what they are talking about in their commercials they run about having the least dropped calls.

I am proud to announce that I do not own a cellular phone. If you want to talk to me, call me at home. If i'm not there, I'm doing something.

I used to work for a collection agency for Sprint (Yes its a weak summer job but I was lazy and wanted to get a job where I didn't have to care) collecting unpaid bills and turning phones on and off. I've heard really bad horror stories about almost every company, they all jerk you around in different ways.
I had one guy who had a $40,000 bill for one month. That's what happens when you travel to Thailand, think you have unlimited international calling and spend every waking moment on the phone almost calling back home (yes he was in Thailand and on the phone, loser) Definitely an interesting job especially if you enjoy others suffering, and can sort through all the BS'er... How man pregnant ladies, who are stuck on the highway trying to get there phone back on so they can call their husband who lost his arm in an work accident, who needs to pick up there daughter that has cancer and grandmother who is blind and by herself at the hospital are there? (serious, someone tried that one)

I have and work for Alltel and you midwest wireless people, Alltel now owns you and you will be a customer soon... and the Thailand story has to be fake as Sprint is a PCS/CDMA carrier and Thailand is straight GPS means phone would not work.
