Who would you choose first overall based on "pure physical Ability" Micheal Vick, Jammarcus Russell, Carson Palmer or Peyton Manning. Now this is all in the same draft class, so who would go #1 overall to start your fanchise. Remember, you are looking at these guys as prospects coming out of college so please don't factor in the careers or the off the field troubles. Just strictly as prospects coming out.

Hands down, Michael Vick. He's elusive and got one hell of an arm. Did it translate well to the NFL? No. But he is disgustingly athletic.

Youre asking an impossible question.

Pure "physical" ability? The qb position is 90% mental. If we're basing this on pure physical ability than Carson and Peyton aren't half the prospects they were pegged as coming out.

It's still gotta be Peyton Manning. You knew he was special coming out. He had QB written all over him. Despite great physical attributes both Vick and Russell had more concerns than Manning. And personally I wasn't high on Palmer. I thought Leftwich was better. Boy was I wrong.

I think teams still take Vick more then anyone else, if people were thinking Leaf was a better prospect then Manning, im pretty sure they would have Vick rated higher...Cannon arm, ridiculously athletic, so much more upside if he pans out, and that probably would have made him the choice...add to the fact his college career was good, led his team well, and did everything you could ask for, and back then people probably would of said Vick had won bigger games at V Tech them Manning had won at UT

I guess for my idea of physical ability I would have to go with Vick The arm, the legs, its hard to beat.

Duh physical is Vick, but QB isn't a physical position. Manning is smart, that's why he's so good.

Jamarcus Russell, easily. He has the strongest arm of the bunch, is more than tall, has a quick release and displayed good accuracy in his junior season at LSU.

This question is ridiculous, but if I must answer it then it'd be Carson Palmer.

Palmer had a fantastic workout before being drafted and even ran a low 4.6, and his physical talents were certainly more reassuring than Vick's for the position they play.

If this is about physical ability then people should not have voted for Peyton Manning. He wasn't even the most physically gifted QB in his own draft class.

The question should be changed to "which quarterback would make for the best running back"

Based on physical ability- Vick
Based on logic- Manning

Exactly. Cannon for an arm, plus being the greatest running QB ever. Bingo.

I would love to hear how Peyton Manning has more physical ability than Michael Vick.

Is this a joke how Peyton is getting that many votes. He'd be an below average QB if he had Mike Vick's head.

I would vote for Ryan Leaf over Peyton Manning based on the criteria. I wish people could actually comprehend what the question was prior to voting. The list is also supremely flawed. Where is Vince Young?

Peyton's physical tools are not that great, he has above average arm strength, but so did Charlie Whitehurst.

For Madden I love playing as Vick as he can run and has good arm strength. After Young entered the league I'd rather play him as I prefer moving right.

vince young missing??

Vince Young. He may not have been as fast as Vick but he was a far more accurate passer and was better when it mattered the most. Vick was 6'0 coming out of college while Vince was 6'5. I think Vince was a better runner than Vick because he ran when he needed to, not to make up for lack of throwing ability. Yeah, Vick had a cannon but he couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat. I know this doesn't count for the question you're asking but Vince was actually a mature adult coming out of college and not a selfish child.

Out of those 4 its gotta be Mike Vick, if we're just basing it off of physical attributes. But I agree that I'd take VY who is 6'5 230 with blazing speed and a tremendous arm!

Carson Palmer. I think he is just godly. Jay Cutler is almost up there.

On pure physical ability:

Vick
Russell(very close)

Palmer

Manning

But as BBD said, the QB position is 90% mental, so these rankings don't mean a lot.

I think it depends on your philosophy of whether or not throwing accuracy counts as a "physical attribute". If it does I take Palmer or Russell. If it doesn't I'll take Vick.

Paranoidmoonduck

I think Palmer definitely beats out Russell.

Palmer
6-5 230, 4.63 40 yard, top notch arm, throws the best deep ball in NFL (just my opinion of course).

Russell
6-6 255, 4.85 40 yard, elite arm, throws great but inconsistent deep ball.
