I forgot Sean Sherk as well, dominant but awfully boring.

I personally never found Sherk boring, his ground game is just so overpowering and technical, but i could see why most people who haven't ever wrestled or taken BJJ can see that.

Then how do you like Shields, he is like the master of lay & pray. He is very similar to Sherk in that theyre very technical, excellent with positions and use that to control an opponent. Shields does attempt more subs than Sherk, I swear Sherk doesnt even bother with them. He just works to get & maintain a dominant position.

Maybe its because I've seen less of Shields. Ive only seen Shields fight maybe 3 times and each time he finished early, last fight being against Charuto. But like you said Sherk doesnt even seem to attempt to finish the fights, hes absolutely content pinning someone down holding them there and peppering them with enough short elbows so that the ref wont stand it up. I think your up btw nerv.
