Week 1: 11-5
Week 2: 10-6
Week 3: 11-5
Week 4: 9-5
Overall: 41-21 (+2)

Carolina Panthers @ New Orleans Saints - Even with Carr starting, and Morgan out I still don't trust my Saints. Maybe I've jumped off the deep end with my negativism but until I see something positive from this team I just can't trust them.

Jacksonville Jaguars @ Kansas City Chiefs - Still really shaky on this pick, the Jaguars have been a very inconsistent team over the past seasons but I'm taking the leap mostly because they have held every team they've faced under 14 points thus far, and their run Defense looked stout vs. Denver. I can't really see Huard having the same success through the air that he had vs. San Diego. So therefore I'll just go with my gut, take the Jags and hope Garrard can sustain his serviceable play.

Detroit Lions @ Washington Redskins - to me this game really hinges on whether or not Clinton Portis plays, the Skins are much better Offensively when he's in... latest news was that he was in pads and practicing a little in some 7-on-7s the knee acting up is a concern however. Calvin Johnson should play in this one, but I think the Skins at Home can do enough Defensively to slow down the Lions passing attack.

Atlanta Falcons @ Tennessee Titans - The Falcons O-line has protected Joey much better in the past 2 games, however I have concerns how they'll hold up against Haynesworth, Vanden-Bosch, and a Titans D-line that has been playing very well as of late. I've actually been impressed by the Titans pass Defense, on Paper I thought this was going to be a terrible unit but they are playing remarkably well, Bulluck and Thornton do a very good job of dropping into the intermediate zones and cutting off some outlet routes. Chris Hope is a solid center fielding Safety, while the Corner combo of Harper/Finnegan has held up a lot better than I thought it would. I see the Titans D' being aggressive, showing some new looks and frustrating Harrington.

Miami Dolphins @ Houston Texans - Even with the Phins at 0-4 I'm iffy on this pick. Houston is really banged up, no Andre Johnson, no Jacoby Jones, and Ahman Green might miss another week due to the death of his father. Not too mention Ronnie Brown has been looking like a legitimate franchise running back in the past 2 games despite losing efforts. Well I'll stick with the Home team and hope DeMeco, and that D-line can limit Brown, while Schaub can continue to be an efficient passer with Andre Davis, and Kevin Walter as his starting Wide Receivers.

Seattle Seahawks @ Pittsburgh Steelers *Upset Special - this is a really tough game for me to decide on, and I think it can go either way. I may end up regretting this pick later on but I feel Seattle's Defense has been a little underrated so far this season. Julian Peterson has been playing great (5 sacks), Trufant has been locking up his side of the field, and their Secondary is playing much better coverage wise over all. Pittsburgh had a little trouble protecting Ben last week, giving up 4 sacks against the Cards. I think Hasselback, and Alexander can do just enough.

Cleveland Browns @ New England Patriots - The Browns are a team that have found some life, but I just can't see them beating this New England team on the road with the way they've been playing. I believe they are getting Rodney Harrison back this week as well.

Arizona Cardinals @ St. Louis Rams - The Cardinals Defense is much better than a lot of people thought it would be. Pendergast should have some creative looks, stunts, and pressure packages prepared against a reeling St.Louis O-line. Darnell Dockett has been a disruptive force lately, and Adrian Wilson should be able to cause problems coming up and playing in the box, and on the blitz. I expect Frerotte to have a rough game.

New York Jets @ New York Giants - The Giants are finally rushing the passer with urgency, while the Jets Defense has looked poor. Brandon Jacobs should return this week as well.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Indianapolis Colts - Even though the Colts are pretty banged up with Harrison, and Addai Questionable, I'm keeping in mind the Bucs will be without Caddy, and Petitgout. Dwight Freeney should be licking his chops at the thought of facing Donald Penn, or Anthony Davis.

San Diego Chargers @ Denver Broncos - my immediate reaction was taking Denver. However I've reconsidered, they maybe without both Javon Walker, and Travis Henry, and they've looked terrible defending the run lately. (Denver has given up 186, and 226 yards rushing their last 2 games.) I just have to hope Norv won't shy away from using a large dosage of LT and Turner.

Baltimore Ravens @ San Francisco 49ers - Baltimore's D' hasn't looked quite the same, but facing Trent Dilfer may be the medicine they need to get back on track.

Chicago Bears @ Green Bay Packers - Favre and that young team are playing with great confidence, Chicago is banged up but should be getting some guys back. I'll stick with the Packers at Home, but I'm worried about Favre having an off night.

Dallas Cowboys @ Buffalo Bills - I'll stick with the hot hand. Romo should continue his hot streak, while Trent Edwards has gotten off to a surprisingly good start (I admit he might be the future at Buffalo) He sort of gets the benefit of being an unknown, with limited NFL film to game plan against him. Wade Phillips and co. should be able to break down some things in a young QBs game and rattle him a bit.

something feels off with most of my picks this week but meh..

week 1: 13-3
week 2: 10-6 (+1)
week 3: 12-4 (+1)
week 4: 8-6 (+1)
overall: 43-19 (+3)

First place two weeks in a row!

Carolina Panthers @ New Orleans Saints - As bad as New Orleans has been, they had a bye week to correct some issues. They won't be able to run the ball, but I suspect they'll improve their O-Line and passing game. Carolina is terrible, and David Carr being the starter doesn't help matters.

Jacksonville Jaguars @ Kansas City Chiefs - So far the Jaguars defense has been banged up, especially up front. With a week off I think their defense will be back in force and the running attack will be better.

Detroit Lions @ Washington Redskins - Santana Moss is likely out, Clinton Portis is banged up again, the O-Line is missing it's stellar right side. I think the Lions can continue what they've been doing, throwing it all over the place and playing opportunistic defense.

Atlanta Falcons @ Tennessee Titans - Well at least I picked Atlanta to win last week. I have my reservations about going into Tennessee, after they had a bye week, and beating them. The only two bright spots for the Falcons are Roddy White (who is on pace for 1,200 yards) and Michael Boley (please vote him into the pro-bowl).

Miami Dolphins @ Houston Texans - Ronnie Brown has been great, the rest of the Dolphins not so much. I think Houston can get back on track. They just need to get Andre Johnson back for the upcoming divisional games back to back if they want to make the post-season.

Seattle Seahawks @ Pittsburgh Steelers UPSET PICK - The Seahawks get lucky because they face a Steelers defense that is missing it's best two players and a starting CB. I haven't been too impressed with them thus far, but winning this game on the east coast would do just that.

Cleveland Browns @ New England Patriots - Do I even have to analyze this one? I have better things to do.

Arizona Cardinals @ St. Louis Rams - I don't know what's going on in Arizona regarding the QB situation. I've never seen a QB.B.C done in the NFL, and it's usually only used in college in a last ditch effort when you don't truly have confidence in either one. That being said St Louis is a disaster and Arizona's defense has been spectacular.

New York Jets @ New York Giants - Will Mangini please put in Kellen Clemens already? Then again Pennington might not make it through the game with the Giants' pass rushers breathing down his neck the whole game. The Jets are simply not a good team and last year was a product of their cupcake schedule.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Indianapolis Colts - The Buccaneers simply do not have the talent to defeat the Colts, offensively or defensively.

San Diego Chargers @ Denver Broncos - Maybe I am just fooling myself that San Diego cannot possibly be this bad. No matter how bad Norv Turner is, this is a must have game for them and I think they win it.

Baltimore Ravens @ San Francisco 49ers - Trent Dilfer looked like he's been on the gravy train last week and it showed. While the Ravens have been struggling, I cannot imagine them allowing a decimated San Francisco team to defeat them.

Chicago Bears @ Green Bay Packers - While the Packers cannot run the ball, they can do everything else. Quite frankly I think the Bears will soon be out of it. Cedric Benson looks like a bust, the offense is really struggling, and the defense is banged up.

Dallas Cowboys @ Buffalo Bills - I bet ESPN didn't expect Buffalo to be this bad. This game looks very lopsided.

Last week as crazy, I still came out 8-6, it could've been worse.. Most of this weeks games could go either way.. I'm sure I'll switch some during the week. Houston is banged up so I'm taking Miami.. Patriots should score about 90 on the Browns.. If the Bucs were fully healthy, I might be able to take them over the injured Colts.. I think the Redskins enough on Offense to take advantage the Lions' bad defense.. As long as Jason Campbell doesn't make dumb mistakes, the Redskins should take that one.

Week 2: 9-7 (+1)
Week 3: 14-2 (+1)
Week 4: 7-7 (+1)

I saw a poster including score estimates, I suppose I'll try that:

Carolina Panthers @ New Orleans Saints
I like the Saints at home to be determined and energized to get their first win of the season, especially as the Panthers are dealing with the critical losses of Jake Delhomme and Dan Morgan. Saints 31, Panthers 16.

Jacksonville Jaguars @ Kansas City Chiefs
I think I read somewhere that Huard as a starter is 7-0 at Arrowhead, and I think he'll make it 8-0. I'm not sure what's going with the Jags running game and if they've maybe made the necessary improvements in their bye week, but the Jags will need a balanced offense to win this game, I think. Larry Johnson isn't back just yet, 61 of his 123 rushing yards at San Diego came on the final drive. Chiefs 20, Jaguars 13.

Detroit Lions @ Washington Redskins
The Detroit Lions are 0-20 all-time at Washington, and I suspect it will be 0-21 after this weekend. The Lions don't play as well on the road as they do at home, especially defensively, and playing at Washington isn't an easy task. Clinton Portis will have a big day behind that Redskins offensive line, and Jason Campbell makes great plays in the passing game despite not having Santana Moss. Lions owners and fantasy owners continue anxiously waiting to see if Kitna can get through this week standing up. Redskins 34, Lions 17.

Atlanta Falcons @ Tennessee Titans
I'd like the Titans in this match-up, especially at home. I think both the Titans' offensive line and defensive line have the better of their opposite in the Falcons. If the Falcons can win this game against a tough opponent and away from their home dome, that would be very impressive, but I don't think they can pull it off. Titans 20, Falcons 6.

Miami Dolphins @ Houston Texans
I'm not picking the Dolphins ever again, they've killed me this year. They're awful, it's between them and the St. Louis Rams for worst team in the league and eventual first pick in the 08 Draft. Probably Miami, because Trent Green continues to make boneheaded throws and they will/need to throw John Beck in there as soon as possible. Sorry, guru. The Texans play well at home, and Schaub can make do with the Dayne Train and Andra Davis this week. Houston 27, Miami 20.

Seattle Seahawks @ Pittsburgh Steelers UPSET SPECIAL
I'm saving this for a future write-up, but the Seattle Seahawks are the best team in the league that no one is talking about. Stop sleeping on this team, they would win the AFC North and AFC West if they were in those divisions and would rank second in the AFC East and the AFC South. They can run well, they can pass well, and they play good defense. Nate Burleson sucks though. The Steelers are tough to play at home, but they've suffered injuries to their two most important keys on the defense in Hampton and Polamalu, and Roflisberger still isn't the quarterback he thinks he is. Seattle 21, Pittsburgh 17.

Cleveland Browns @ New England Patriots
The Browns offense is looking good thanks to the development of their 1st round studs and their offensive line, but their defense still needs work. The Browns will need many big plays in all three phases of the game to win this game, as they face a Patriots team that is playing well in all three phases. I like the Patriots at home, although I'm wondering what's going with Laurence Maroney who's looking like DeShaun Foster 2.0 right now. New England 34, Cleveland 13.

Arizona Cardinals @ St. Louis Rams
I like the Cards in this game. They will bring the pressure on the immortal Gus Frerotte with that Rams offensive line in front of him, and the Cardinals balanced offense lead by the Edge will do well, despite resting Boldin another week. The Human Joystick can't win this game on his own, but speaking of Rams special teams, Jeff Wilkins needs to go. He's been downright horrible this season. Arizona 23, St. Louis 14.

New York Jets @ New York Giants
The Giants are going to bring pressure on the Jets offensive line and play man coverage on their wide receivers, forcing Pennington to attempt passes he can't make or get hit. Both will happen. Meanwhile, Eli will carve up a bad Jets defense. Lawrence Tynes will miss another field goal. Giants 24, Jets 9.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Indianapolis Colts
I'm not expecting Marvin Harrison, Joseph Addai, Bob Sanders, or Freddy Keiaho to play in this game. Maybe they do, but I'm not counting on it. I still like the Colts at home though, a match-up against a Tampa 2 defense is in the Colts' favor and I think the Colts' front four will put pressure on Jeff Garcia. Garcia hasn't thrown a pick yet this season and the Bucs have held their last three opponents scoreless in the first half, I believe, which is impressive. Indianapolis 30, Tampa Bay 16.

San Diego Chargers @ Denver Broncos
As Rod Woodson noted on Total Access, the Broncos are giving up more rushing yards per play than passing yards per play. With LaDainian Tomlinson coming to town, having increased his rushing productivity with every game this season, that's not good. But if Javon Walker is healthy enough to play fully, combined with their running game, the Broncos have a good chance to win at home though. I'll pick the Chargers in another tough divisional game between the two teams. San Diego 31, Denver 28.

Baltimore Ravens @ San Francisco 49ers
Who could have imagined saying it, but the 49ers might actually have the better defense of the two teams. But their offensive line is so poor, I can't see them doing anything on offense to win this game. Their center last week was the equivalent of a shower curtain in his effectiveness. Also, I think we've gotten to the point where the Ravens are better off benching Dead Air McNair for Kyle Boller. A low point, it is. Baltimore 9, San Francisco 6.

Chicago Bears @ Green Bay Packers
The Bears are a complete mess thanks to members of their offensive line mailing in the season after a Super Bowl appearance. And with their defense banged up across the board, it's looking bad right now. It won't look any better this weekend, especially as the Packers are eager to help dig the Bears' grave. Green Bay 27, Chicago 6.

Dallas Cowbo ... not so fast, my friends! (Copyright Lee Corso.) The young Bills are playing at home for their first Monday Night game ever, Ralph Wilson Stadium will be absolutely nuts and Fandemonium will rise again. The Bills play well at home and have great special teams. Trent Edwards is very accurate and gets rid of the ball quickly, and Marshawn Lynch is a stud reminiscent of young Edge. The Cowboys are looking forward to their Week 6 match-up against the Patriots too much, allowing the Bills to pull off the upset!

http://content.answers.com/main/content/wp/en/b/b5/Billy_Buffalo.jpg

Dallas Cowboys @ Buffalo Bills
The Bills win it with a Rian Lindell field goal as time expires. Dallas 23, Buffalo 24.

I'm royally sucking compared to the past, so I'll just shoot from the hip instead of trying to overthink things.

Carolina Panthers @ New Orleans Saints

Saint's run D hasn't been that bad ... Panthers offense with David Carr? Ugh. I think Payton generates a bit of offense and the Saints win.

Jacksonville Jaguars @ Kansas City Chiefs

A week after jumping on the Jaguars wagon ... and in particular, Garrard's, I am going with KC at home. Strong D and an improving offense makes me think they win if they don't turn it over.

Detroit Lions @ Washington Redskins

I don't trust the Lions D ... Washington might need to get a bit more creative and give Jason a few more opportunities for the offense to flourish, but they should have enough.

Atlanta Falcons @ Tennessee Titans

wow, going all home teams so far. Good D, strong run game are things the Falcons probably aren't equipped to fight against this year.

Miami Dolphins @ Houston Texans

still a home team streak ... I think texans bounce back ... but close.

Seattle Seahawks @ Pittsburgh Steelers

I think the Steelers bounce back as well ... the seahawks d is decent, but beatable.

Cleveland Browns @ New England Patriots

no questions here.

Arizona Cardinals @ St. Louis Rams

first road team i pick ... love what whisenhunt is doing down there, although i think everyone in the NFL caring world will be casting an eye on that Cardinals Qb situation

New York Jets @ New York Giants

I've just got no feel on the Giants ... but the Jets are bad ...

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Indianapolis Colts

If Harrison/Addai/Sanders are out, this will be a dogfight of a game ... I think Tampa gets enough of a rushing attack going, and the Tampa D steps up ... I went 2-1 on my crazy picks last week ... so here goes another one

San Diego Chargers @ Denver Broncos

I guess I should caveat this with if Travis Henry plays. If not, I'd probably go Chargers as well. I will say that San Diego should win.

Baltimore Ravens @ San Francisco 49ers

Ravens D steps up in this one, and I think their O does enough.

Chicago Bears @ Green Bay Packers

THis game could decide the NFC north at this early juncture, no disrespect meant to the other squads ... but if the Packers get off to 5-0, it'll be awfully tough to catch them, IMO, if the Lions lose this week ... no good reason to pick the Bears ... we're bad right now

Dallas Cowboys @ Buffalo Bills

I like Trent Edwards .. but they are playing Dallas.

Garcia hasn't thrown a pick yet this season and the Bucs have held their last three opponents scoreless the last three games, I believe, which is impressive.

I think that stat concerns the Buc's not allowing an opposing team to score in the 1st half.

For all of those who are putting the Chiefs as an upset, they are only +2 on the spread.
