Here's the deal, just for fun, if you had a time machine and could bring one player out of retirement to have in his prime for your team's current roster, who would it be?
For me: LT

For the place this team is at right now in the season, I have to choose Jack Tatum. The run defense is porous right now, and bringing a safety who was as strong at the point of attack as Tatum would go a long way towards helping that.
Also tempting was Marcus Allen in the ZBS.

That is exactly who I was gonna pick. He was used to running with no offensive line, so the packers wouldn't be any different, except that they can't put all 11 in the box like they did when sanders was playing on the lions.

If I could have any player in his prime on the steelers, it would be Dermonti Dawson.
OR Rod Woodson.
http://www.steelertribute.com/WOODSO.GIF
Dawson was the only center I've seen that would never get manhandled, could pull, trap and get to the second level before the RB. Not to mention on a screen pass he'd be blocking.
The weakness in the Steelers OL is the Interior with Mahan. Dawson would instantly improve that. Amazingly improve it.
Woodson I don't need to explain.
I'd love LT but our OLB's are alright.

All joking aside, Dawson was a great center but if you can bring back anyone at any position his position is way down on the list.

He would've gotten one with the Steelers had he stayed.
But either way. I just feel that True, If you were to bring back a dynamic player, Center is one of the positions You'd bring back.
However, Dawson was a rare talent as a position that doesn't require athletes. With the state of the Steelers OL.. Faneca and Dawson on the interior would be impenetrable and would allow Willie Parker more space for between the tackles runs.
LT, Derrick Thomas. They'd Definitely be up there. Hell even Mean Joe Green as a 3-4 DE.
I just think we're set everywhere and it would be the "Biggest" upgrade to put Dawson over Mahan.

Well, I mean for the Colts.
Obviously, Jones in his prime would've been great for Indy also, but Reggie White would be AWESOME in the 1-gap system that the Colts run.
I considered LT also, but the Colts don't blitz very often and that may have been Taylor's best quality.

Given any player in their prime, it'd have to be:
http://starbulletin.com/2001/02/03/sports/artc.jpg
Warren Sapp
Why? because I know he can succeed in the NFL today, and he's the prototype Tampa 2 UT.
I would choose:

Alan Page
But something tells me 245 pounds wouldn't work at UT in today's NFL.
